It seems that VQ is still out of touch somewhat with this new staff and some recruiting insight.

Take Simonton with a grain of salt, he’s a UGA. And the VQ staff is no where as accurate and reliable as they used to be. Just what it’s become. Now to their defense, this staff is as tight lipped as I’ve ever seen here. They are about one thing, football, and with that, winning.

Simonton meant UT. He’s actually really good at his job. Many Vol fans just can’t handle him not being a UT homer. Haters gon hate.

He tends to be a contrarian and it grates at me sometimes when I listen to their podcast, but he’s often more right than wrong. I will know UT is “back” when guys like Simonton start being homers and all-in. I think he just calls them like he sees them

I think Brent joked on one of the VQ podcasts and called him a gator-dawg, But I thought that it was a divided home with his significant other who is was a UGA fan- I thought. Like Ron said, Simonton is good at his job, but he is the wet blanket for VQ helps balance it a bit I think.

Yeah, I actually appreciate it that he’s not a homer. He does good work.

I agree. He’s outstanding imo, had no idea where he is or isn’t from, just does his job very well.
