I think it has more to do with how signing day 2018 finished and we didnt land any of the top targets we were after. Some even mocked us like Quay. With us losing Norton to UGA, Wanya now trending toward auburn and Howell towards FSU, it feels like were gonna be the bridesmaids a lot again. But maybe the staff isnt that high on Howell. Well see what happens.
Its April, hes been on the job 5 month, Tennessee went 4-8 last year and has pretty much sucked for a decade. Is it really surprising that we havent gotten weekly commits from 4 stars? Maybe it takes a little longer to build those relationships and close the deal. Or maybe its just easier to blame Pruitt and say he isnt a good recruiter.
LOL
What, so hes good enough for FSU but not us? If they have a better guy lined up, then cool, but you cant let him just get away without a fight.
I just dont understand how this young man can be so highly rated, seemed to love Tennessee and seemed to be wanting to commit to Tennessee but then we slow play him. Seems to me we would take the best qb that wants to be here and I really feel like he has great film. Maybe others have indicated the same interest in Tennessee and lead the coaches to believe they will commit to them like howell did. Tag hasnt really given off the vibe that he would commit to Tennessee, has he? Any others that we can think of that would be higher on the board than howell.
All I know is Jayden Daniels (Cali) is the #1 qb target for FSU. I don't think Howell goes to FSU even if Daniels doesn't go. JMO
Like I said earlier.....I think UT has a great chance to get him. My friends in Fla think it's between UT and Clemson. FWIW.....
Jayden is not number 1 target. They like all three pretty equally. Jayden has the added benefit of having some elite teammates and 7v7 players. Walt Bell has recruited Howell since his freshman year, his his number one, but fsu will not turn down any of them.
You really think the family that moved to tuscaloosa alabama from hawaii to be closer with their son is going to let their other son go play for a rival.
