They were not both at Tennessee at the same time though. Rick went to LSU first and only transferred to Tennessee after Casey was gone already.

Separate times. Didn't say it wouldn't happen just said not common to be on same team or follow each other. Seems like one usually goes another direction for one reason or another. If there was a bit more separation in classification I could see it but right in top of each other at a position where only one can play. I could see Liltttle bro going a different direction if he likes the fit enough

Honestly, it's the one position where the board seems to not have a pecking order. I don't know how high Howell is/has been on their board.

I was thinking about this kids comment about two weeks ago where he stated the coaches told him they wanted him to be "the guy" juxtaposed with all the (mostly VQ) reports that we aren't favoring any one QB and seem to be slow playing the position.

I bet the coaching staff made a generic pitch that this kid might've misinterpreted, albeit understandably.

For example..... Helton/Pruit says something like "We're looking for someone to come in and be the guy, and we think you could be that type of player."

17 year old star QB interprets that as "They said they want me to be the guy."
