All I know is Jayden Daniels (Cali) is the #1 qb target for FSU. I don't think Howell goes to FSU even if Daniels doesn't go. JMO

Like I said earlier.....I think UT has a great chance to get him. My friends in Fla think it's between UT and Clemson. FWIW.....

Honestly, I find the report that they haven’t settled on some sort of general board for how they see the QBs in this class harder to believe.

Apparently a couple of programs cooled on him because of concerns about his height. Read he checked in at 6'0 on UF visit. Kid is a baller that has up 10,000 passing and almost 2300 rushing. You take a kid who can do it with his arm and legs. Guys like Drew Bres, Chris Leak and Russell Wilson are all under 6'1 and were successful in college.

Leak got very LUCKY in college. Lucky that he had such talented play makers around him that could adjust to passes that were under or over thrown by a mile. And that he had Tim Tebow to run it on 4th and 1 in Neyland.

I am interested about what exactly turned the coaches off of Howell if they really did stop pursuing hard.

I’m not sure it’s size. Others have pointed out Tagovailoa is the same size or smaller.

It makes me curious if they just thought he’s not as good as his ranking or if something non-football related turned them off of him.

Could be that they don't think his other qualities are enough to overcome his size but Tagovailoa's are? I don't know if we can assume they don't like Howell. Just that they like other prospects better.

I strongly believe the coaches know more about evaluationg talent than Xxxxxx33 does. Trolls will be trolls.

Just because someone has a differing opinion, it doesnt make them a troll. I have said nothing negative about this staff, only that i dont believe lance is/should be THE QB of this class. My opinion. You have your own. Agree to disagree, but to call someone a troll is only a copout and seems to be something people say to try and sound cool with no basis for calling said person a troll.

Can’t imagine we have much of a shot with him. How is there any way he doesn’t wind up in Tuscaloosa?

Really hope we don’t wind up regretting not pushing much harder for Howell here.
