'21 NC RB Jaylen Wright (Tennessee signee)

Ok. I hope you're right. You convinced me

When we recruit a kid from out of state, it's always a concern when the top schools haven't offered. If they did, I missed it.

Thanks for the feedback
They’ve offered the kid just wants a top track program as well. Those three backs are top notch. Rare to have three that good in a year and Edmonds is no slouch. UNC will end up with him. State is the one that’s screwed the pooch. Losing a legacy in Shipley, losing Wright to UT, and Edmonds to UNC. Not good at all for them.

Speed kills. Love this kid. When UT is at their best, they own North Carolina in recruiting or at least, pop shot the best players from there, especially western Carolina. UT is like those kids dream school, back in the day, like Shuler and Pickens. Lockdown that state again, with the way Charlotte is booming, Raliegh/Durham (our boy, JWright), and those western, border kids, UT reaps the benefits. Oh yeah, I almost forget about the NC kid that is putting his footprint back down in his home state, for UT, Jay Graham. Since I've been lockdown I have watched a lot of 90s UT videos and Graham showed out. Loved him and still do to this day, will never understand why he wasn't a better pro player. Big with breakaway speed. Anyway, rambling again, in the immortal words of Petey Pablo, "Raise Up" North Carolina.

With the COVID, you do have to think that the recruiting services are going to be behind on evaluating these kids, especially if there's no senior season. If the quality of our class is dependent upon the quality of evaluation from our staff, then I am COMPLETELY comfortable with what our staff will do. Our staff knows talent when they see it.

yeah, and camp circuits this summer will probably be affected a pretty good bit, if not some/many/most, or some combinatin of, having to be rescheduled or cancelled.....so that will reduce evaluation time by some unknown degree.

hope there is a season this fall....fingers crossed.

good point.

SO we have even more reason to discount the star ratings from recruiting sites? But what if I was already at zero?

Honestly, I think the whole world would benefit if Rivals and 247 just shut down. These kids have turned into such attention seeking prima donnas that it's gotten ridiculous. I would love to see a world where we went back to "Oh, that kid wants to be a Vol? Oh, our coaches wanted him and he wanted us? Sweet, can't wait to see him suit up." This world we live in now of ridiculous expectations and constant games and drama is just not really that fun anymore. That's just my opinion, but coaches need to be judged based on how a class is on the field, not how they are based off of the opinions of guys who aren't true evaluators. And if they were true evaluators, they would be on someone's staff somewhere.

Shipley is almost a clone of McCaffrey, I mean it’s incredible.

After watching Panthers games on GamePass and McCaffrey was literally carrying that team on his back, I can only hope he’s that good.
