While Clemson and Michigan are the frontrunners for Quavaris Crouch, Tennessee continues to make a real play for the Charlotte native. The Vols can’t be counted out for the All-American athlete just yet. Head coach Jeremy Pruitt, area recruiter Brian Niedermeyer and outside linebackers coach/co-defensive coordinator Chris Rumph are scheduled for a final in-home visit today with the nation’s 30th overall prospect, per VolQuest sources.
Dabo Swinney and Jim Harbaugh have already had their in-home visits with Crouch.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound athlete took an official visit to Tennessee in November. He made multiple trips this spring and summer, too, building a strong relationship with Niedermeyer and Pruitt.
Niedermeyer has seen Crouch each week since the contact period, but Thursday will be Pruitt’s opportunity to make a final pitch to the 4-star athlete from Harding University. Crouch is reportedly planning on giving his school of choice a silent commitment within the next week before announcing a decision on Jan. 5 at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio. He will then enroll early.
Us or Clemson. He's buds with Neids. We get the last in home. AV says he's visiting us this weekend. Have to like our chances.
Fingers crossed ATLVol and his crew make it happen.
I have no idea. We don't want to know either.I realize that if he really is an insider then there is a certain amount of delicacy here, but who is @Atlanta VOL and who is is crew? Been wondering for a while now...

Gotcha. I considered that was the angle you were taking. If he doesn’t choose us, I would start being a little concerned that Pruitt can’t close. The interesting thing here is @griddie kept saying we were in this back when many were talking like we were out of it. He’s connected in NC. I would like to see him pop in here and tell us what’s he hearing. I think we might close this one out.Just asking about the consequences. Typically on vn, we have extreme over reactions (positive & negative)... so I was wondering if these are the reactions we should expect to make on here when crouch decides?
