'19 NC RB Quavaris Crouch (Tennessee signee)

From Clemson Rivals

So here is what we know or can shed further light on regarding Charlotte (N.C.) Harding high-four star outside linebacker Quavaris Crouch:

Crouch (6-3, 238), ranked No. 30 nationally by Rivals.com, took an unofficial visit to Tennessee yesterday in conjunction with the Vols playing host to numerous official visitors. He posted pictures on his Instagram account early this morning.

This on the heels of Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt conducting his in-home Thursday – two days after Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables paid the Tigers’ final in-person visit.

Crouch has planned to announce his decision at the Jan. 5 U.S. Army All-American game in San Antonio, Texas.

There are a couple of weeks left to go before Crouch goes public and based on this weekend’s developments, our initial feedback indicates there is increased skepticism on the Tigers’ end they will be the choice.

This one is now up in the air.

We will have more on Crouch and other remaining Clemson targets in our Monday Insider.

Appreciate the civil response. Just respectfully disagree.

Well, I would ask for forgiveness for being uncivil in some of my prior posts.

I believe in CJP and his crew because most of 'em have been championship players or at least had very active roles on championship teams.
It's obvious that they know how to evaluate talent. They KNOW what it takes in preparation, practice, and performance on gameday to WIN.
It's obvious (to me) that they know the game and how to coach.
They didn't lose that ability when they put on the orange....but the caliber of players wearing orange changed drastically for them last year.

Folks cannot scream that "it's not the Xs and Os as much as the Jimmys and the Joes" and then turn around and crucify the coaches when a lack of Jimmys and Joes manifests itself in the last few games of the season.

Miss. State, USCe, Vandy, Mizzou, and KY are losing a lot of key players in their 2 deep....

I am very interested in watching how the recruiting battles are gonna finish.

We definitely need to land Crouch and some others...

GO VOLS!

Probably is, just gonna keep it quiet until the announcement. He is supposed to give a silent this week to his team choice I believe.

Will be hard to keep it quiet since other schools can no longer contact once you sign. I saw he was only signing financial aid papers and that’s it.

i was told Sunday morning by a source close to Crouch that "Tennessee is now very much alive in the process." And that Crouch is listening to a select camp of people right now, which are guiding him in a direction that doesn't necessarily lead to Clemson.
I was told by another separate source that Tennessee's most recent in-home visit had a significant impact on Crouch. Per source, Clemson is the "logical" choice here, but Crouch is being told to make a decision based on his heart.
Crouch joined five-star offensive tackle Darnell Wright and five-star Tennessee offensive tackle commitment Wanya Morris in making the trip to Knoxville this weekend, along with a large group of official visitors headlined by four-star running back Noah Cain.

I'm giving my crow back. Like I posted after meeting with Crouch face-to-face in September you could tell his heart was in Tennessee but recruiting is so fluid. I only wavered a bit but with ol' Dabo you can't help but blame me for having doubts after his OV at Clemson. Hopefully I was right all along and all of the thoughts of misdirection social media posts were actually sincere and it was as simple as right in front of our noses this whole time. His former coach really is like a father figure to him, it can't be put into words how close they are! I think he is the one to thank if we land QC. If he goes somewhere else throw the crow in my face.

Clemson gained momentum in Crouch’s recruitment throughout the season with a series of unofficial visits. Florida State hosted Crouch for his first official visit in late October but the Noles failed to make a major impact on his recruitment. Michigan seemed to make a big move during his official visit to Ann Arbor at the beginning of November. Tennessee got the next official visit and Crouch gave that visit positive reviews. Crouch was glowing after his official visit Clemson and it seemed as though the Tigers had secured their place as his leader with no additional visits planned.

All three finalists visited Crouch during these last few weeks and recruiting pitches became clearer. Tennessee and their coaches seem to have made up enough ground with Crouch and his family during these visits to convince him to take a final visit to Knoxville this past weekend.

The message coming from behind the scenes is that Tennessee is the school in the best position right now. The visit to Knoxville went very well and bonding with the other recruits that were on campus carried a lot of weight. For Crouch, being part of building the Tennessee program up to a national contender is also very important to him.

Secret last minute visits are usually a positive indicator for that school. Nobody knows for sure which school Crouch is leaning towards right now but it sure feels like Tennessee has momentum at the right time. I’ll be changing my FutureCast to Tennessee right now but I could easily switch it based on what happens as the finish line nears.

The possibility of Crouch signing this week is also up in the air. Crouch was originally hoping to sign his Letter of Intent in secret on Wednesday and not announce which school he picked until the All-American Bowl on January 5th. Now there is a 50-50 chance of Crouch, an early enrollee, not signing and instead just showing up for class after he announces his commitment.

Crouch’s recruitment is growing increasingly unpredictable so there is still surely plenty left to unfold.

Pruitt is an elite recruiter.

He can hang with the best of them.

Very well respected by formal players he used to coach that are now in the NFL.
Just wait till we win. How will they recruit if he wins 8-9 games this fall? What about after he wins 10 in 2020? So much recruiting potential
