Clemson long had the momentum for Quavaris Crouch, the four-star athlete out of Charlotte, N.C. That changed late last week. As 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong reported Sunday night, momentum began to swing toward Tennessee after Jeremy Pruitt’s in-home visit with Crouch on Thursday.
The next day, Crouch headed to Knoxville for an unexpected visit to see Tennessee. Tight ends coach Brian Niedermeyer is the primary recruiter for Crouch, rated as the No. 2 athlete in the 2019 class, and sources have indicated the Vols, because of the relationship between Niedermeyer and Crouch, feel like they’re in a good spot moving forward with the early enrollee who will announce his decision during the All-American Bowl on Jan. 5 in San Antonio. With the late momentum, Tennessee is seemingly, and unexpectedly, in the driver's seat ahead of Clemson and Michigan with three weeks to go.
Also, he plainly says the kid would be better off going to Clemson.
Yep, pretty much this.Shorter JC Shurburtt:
-Crouch was never really that good. He will have to outwork the other highly-rated LBs in this class in order to be a first-round draft pick.
-He’s a first-rounder at RB, though. Haha, joke’s on him for being a dum dum and going to UT to play linebacker.
-His old coach likes UT. Can’t stand that guy.
-Go Cocks.

Big Al Wilson smiling about now. Hello Big Al. Meet Big Al 2.0. Yeah this is how it feels. I still can see Big Al bouncing around between the OT and OG before splitting the gap in a heart beat and greeting the running back for a loss of yardage...An athlete with the heart of Big Al and talented athletes rubbing off on one another. Awesome. Just pure Awesome
That only means they cannot visit. They can still text and talk, probably FaceTime and things like that also. And would anyone be surprised if one of Clemson's coaches "accidentally" bumped into Crouch at the Walmart or something?Re: Dabo working him for 3 weeks....recruiting is in a 'dead' period until Jan. 5.
My God. Can you imagine trying to defend Darnell Wright in the post as a high school player?
