Grandma has been really important in his life. She wants to be able to see him play. Knoxville is driveable to/from on game day from Charlotte -- Ann Arbor is not. That's a big deal for their family.


For perspective, Q has an older brother who plays at NC State. They went up to watch him play live four or five times this fall. So it's important to their family. Hard to find fault in that.


Interesting sidebar, at least to me: Clemson really screwed the pooch late on this one. Took themselves out of it by being very off-putting to Q. I'm not at liberty (yet) to share details, but will when I can. Pretty surprising actually.


If you go back to the big interview, you'll notice he said he would take it SLOW and let teams knock themselves out. Clemson did just that.


Great kid, hope he stays healthy and keeps his nose clean (which o expect he will). Should have a great career, and is the first Vol I'll ever root for.

Wanted to wait til he signed to say this but I said it before... the injuries concern the hell out of me because of our past experiences. I hope he responds well and gets back to pre injury shape but I was always suspicious about the ceiling. Dont @ me.
