Nah, those are 2,3 & 4. #1 is the media that grovels over them year-in and year-out.

IT use to be ND and FS . The media loved them some Lou Holtz and Bobby B . Growing up we didn’t have but 3 channels to watch ( 3,5&7) and it wouldn’t matter if ND was playing sister Mary’s school for the blind they were going to carry it . Back then it also took 2 loses to knock either out of the top ten and you still may end up watching them play for a Natty in the end .

Pretty close between Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame.

I'd add "The U" to that list...

... though, with Richt there, I think we all agree they'll always be a top 5-15 team, never win or compete for a national title, and eventually, he'll get fired after a mostly successful 9-3 season where he inevitably lost to Clemson, Florida State, and NC State.

They'll eventually make a feature film on his career there... "The Preacher in the Land of Strippers and Blow"... which depending on how starved Hollywood is at the time, may develop into a trilogy of spinoffs similar to Indiana Jones.

...but a coach does not arrogance make

Anyways, how's our buddy Crouch doin?

Funny seings how he finished with a 10-3 overall record last year and he still has a job. Richt will have a job in Miami as long as he wants it.

I didn't realize he just didn't want the Georgia job anymore...

He's a good coach, upper echelon even... he just chokes in the big regular season game that's gonna put him in a position for a natty shot...

Peyton was amazing but he did it too with Florida
