'19 NC RB Quavaris Crouch (Tennessee signee)

That chart makes Kentucky’s year so far that much more staggering.

Don't it. I really haven't thought too highly of Stoops' staff previously. Gran is his 3rd OC in 6 seasons, and I thought his defenses seemed to underachieve previously. But they have one a really nice job apparently with the S&C program, developing players, and getting buy in from the players.

Kudos to Stoops and his staff.

One top prospect who Tennessee appears to be losing traction with is 5-star ATH Quavaris Crouch. The Vols remain in the mix, but as we’ve noted throughout Crouch’s recruitment, winning will be a critical factor in his decision. Tennessee’s slow start doesn’t help in that regard. Crouch wasn’t on campus for the UF loss, though, and it’s unclear if he ever made it to Alabama, either. The Vols will continue to push for visits, including an official trip sometime in December.

Where did this whole 'never be the same player again' and 'teams slowing down on recruiting him' theme come from? I've only ever heard that on this forum.
Look at his recruitment as a whole. Was ranked 1 on rivals lots of fluff. Basically never talked about since. It doesn’t seem like schools are pushing that hard

From what I understand, most of it.

UT leads. Silent commit. (Which of course doesn’t mean it’s a sure thing at all. Public commits don’t even mean that. Take it what for what it is.)

Clemson biggest threat. Likes Michigan and Bama as well but It’s UT vs Clemson at this point.

South Carolina, UGA = Non factors.

i dunno. he's been on record in the past about direction of hte program being important. you see these quotes about him not being afraid of a rebuild, but he's said that he doesn't want to go somewhere, where sacraficing his body doesn't net the results he wants to get out of his college career, be it competing at a high, championship level or NFL prospects after college.

and he didn't come to the FL game, which would have been an excellent peer recruiting opportunity where he might be better able to get a feel for the direction of the program, even if the on field results don't look so great.

for those reasons, my confidence has waned a bit on Crouch. i still think we're a factor. don't get me wrong. but whereas before i might have been surprised if he went somewhere else, i don't think i will be now.

i'll just say "fingers crossed" and leave it at that....lol.

VQ guys hinting hes going elsewhere for a few weeks now. But the longer they keep trying to prop JG as a great QB the less I have faith in their info.

Yeah they love placing all blame on Helton for being vanilla but I'd say that has more to do with what the players can handle/execute more than anything. If your QB can only get basically to one read and a dump it's not much you can do to confuse anyone else

i think the assertion from those that criticize Helton, is that JG is doing that under his instruction, not necessarily because that's all he can do.

it's one or the other. either that's all he really can do, or this offensive staff is scared to death that he's going to get killed if he tries to stay in the pocket longer than 3 seconds. so they don't even call plays that take a little time to develop.

they did move him around more, but there were a few plays where they rolled him to the short side of hte field and i was like, huh? you just took 3/4 of the field away, and reduced the space anyone over there has to operate.

those playes weren't very successful either...lol.
