“Michigan and Clemson were probably my best two visits and the visits to Tennessee and Florida State were behind them,” Crouch said. “It's not because of the people. I'm looking at the teams. I had a great time on all the visits but I'm looking at how I would fit in. I don't think Florida State is a good fit for me right now but I'm keeping them in it because you never know what could happen. At Florida State and at Tennessee they're going to have to rebuild and I'm not sure how their players are going to be. They've got new coaches and it almost feels like the players are used to losing. They're going to have to change the culture and that's way bigger than football. I want to go somewhere I can plug in and work with guys that are just like me. I liked all the coaches everywhere I went. Coach Woodie at Florida State I really liked. Coach Pruitt is one of my favorite coaches. He is a real peoples' coach. He keeps it real and I could see myself playing for him because he's a good dude. A lot of his former players love him too. I think he's a great linebackers coach but I'm just not sure that whole environment is for me.
“It's really about the best fit for me right now,” he said. “Where do I fit in the most? Where would I develop and grow? Which place is going to give me the best chance of achieving my goals? My dream is to play in the NFL.
“I'm going to take one more official visit,” said Crouch. “I'd like to go see my guys JT Daniels and Amon-Ra St. Brown at USC but I don't know.”
Yes but he will be on the bench and for him to get to see action would be a wide receiver shoved out of bounds and knocks him on his ass. I am not sure that this miss may end up being a good thing. Seems like a prima Donna and does not want to work to get it plus the comment is kind of s slap to the UT players both good and bad..Yeah he’s not coming here. Doesn’t want to rebuild a program. Hopefully we get to play Clemson and whip them in a couple years
Clemson has negatively recruited as well as anyone. They swayed Hunter Johnson and Higgins with Dabo and A Rodgers in their ears. Then took big play backs like Etienne and Dixon away from us once the writing with Butch was on the wall. And if not for Sam Pittman, Cade Mays would’ve ended up there. That’s a lot of flipping from program A directly to program B.Never was
Some kids just don’t want to take on a challenge
How is that ragging on his character. It's a true statement. Some kids relish the idea of building something, some kids don't. It is what it is.Geez. Kid wants to play somewhere that has been consistently winning and putting players in the league. When we return to that level, we’ll expect kids to want to play for us, not a 5-6 rebuilding team. It is what it is but let’s pump the breaks on taking a shot at the QC’s character here.
It’s one thing when it’s someone like Cade Mays who grew up a Vols fan, but this kid has no allegiance and is going to do what he thinks is best. I wish him the best and harbor no ill feelings toward him.
Guess what if you are so special as you think you are, you can get to the league if you went to Nichols state or wherever. Takes work. I do not care if he signs with Clemson or not all I am saying is IMO this miss may not be as bad as some of us think.Geez.
