NCAA finals game thread

At this point, with back to backs, would leaving for KY be a move up?

It's one of the 5 jobs in college basketball and is reportedly offering $1 million per year more than what he makes now. You tell me.

I'm just using the "He's accomplished it all at Florida, every major contributor to this team is leaving, he might as well too, and it's time for a new challenge" logic.

Not to mention losing your whole starting lineup, except maybe Green, and losing the 6th guy.

Apparently no one but people in Gainesville know what it means to "Do it Big".

Joakim Noah is the biggest JACKASS in college basketball. I said it months ago and everyone criticized me except for The Dude. Now look at what you were defending.

Ghandi kept blathering about how he and his boys were going to "do it up big time." Why do I get the funny feeling that a whole bunch of NBA guys were watching that thinking how much fun they're going to have showing Mahatma Noah what "big time" is all about?

If you're going to have to rebuild anyway, you might as well do it with more money at the more prestigious job, right?

He might turn KY down because he's interested in an NBA job instead. In either event, the only way he stays at Florida is if they pony up a million more dollars per annum and he decides he's happy there. From a career-ladder standpoint, if he's going elsewhere, now's the time to do it. He'll be having an interesting conversation or two with his wife tomorrow night, at least.

i find myslef actually impressed with what the gators have done to the college sports world.

i still hate them, and i will hate them for this too, but when you step back and look, two time bball champs, football champs, the past 18 months have been about as good as any one university could hope for, and that's putting it mildly.

so, i'll say congrats, the game pretty much went like i thought it would.

and as a TN fan, all i can say is i look forward to the day when we knock the gators off thier pedestal. the sooner the better.

as to the game, i think Billy D did a very good job in his gameplan, though it looked a little shaky as the fouls started adding up on the big guys, but all in all, he had them ready........and that's another thing......it's not like FL surprised anyone this year. they won it last year. everyone knew they would be good, everyone picked them.

it's really remarkable that he was able to keep their attention, keep their buy in, and keep them focused this year. many teams would have been done long before now, and i think that little slip prior to the SEC tourney really got their attention. i know people say losing is never a good thing, but in this case, i think it was for them.

so anyway, congrats, remarkable accomplishment. I look forward to beating you next year!:)
