NCAA National Championship game

I'm watching the coaches corner broadcast
... Super interesting if you're a football nuts and bolts person.... David cutcliffe is extremely interesting to listen to...

As for the game... Bama s offense is not doing a thing to help. Their special teams had been, dare I say it, bad.

The defense was getting worn down. Credit ugas offensive line and running game. Michel is special. Fromm has been efficient.

For bama to win they're going to have to do something on offense to possess the football, and stop making mistakes in special teams. They're defense is keeping then in it.

All true, but Bama’s defense isn’t doing its job either by not getting off the field. Bama’s offense, as bad as it is, isn’t the unit that’s given up 6 3rd down conversions to UGA’s true freshman Qb in the first half.

Bama’s offense kinda reminds me of Team 121’s offense this past year?

It does tonight. Uga is playing very good defense... But hurts is not able to be efficient from the pocket, and that's making it easier thus far for uga...

Converted only 1 3rd down. That's not very good for what is supposed to be a ball control offense..

I agree. I don't think we'll see a change.

I'd just give him some simple easy things on early downs. Swing screens or boot legs to loosen up the defense. When you wait till 3rd and 8, it's hard on any qb

They were getting off the field. Then the offense went 3 and out, 4 and out and 3 and out. Had the ball like 3 minutes in between like 14 minutes of possession by uga.

Uga has no answer for 94. They start getting done first downs, it'll be amazing how much better the defense looks all the sudden...

Yes, seriously. 223 yards, 16 first downs, nearly 20 minutes of possession for Georgia in the first half, 6-11 3rd down conversions. Chris Fowler just said it on the broadcast.....”Georgia has dominated Alabama’s defense in the first half”.

So if Bama’s offense is going 3 and out every time, how is that Pruitt’s fault?

It's clear they need to get the ball out of his hands. Looks like Hurts stands or drifts when he needs to climb in the pocket. The second he moves forward he's taking off.

Gotta start Tua in the second half.

I would have benched Hurts already. There are many schools of thought. I understand that such a move can create panic and you don't want to do that. You also don't want to be asked how it was you benched your QB in a 6-0 game (the moment I would have benched him) with over a half to play.

But, sometimes you also go with your gut. And my gut tells me right now there is no way in hell they win this game with Hurts at QB.

Same as there came a point in the Auburn game where it became obvious that Hurts wasn't going to be good enough that day.

Hurts is similar to Dobbs.

Not the best passers but exceptional runners.

Although, I think Dobbs would have had more success in Bama’s offense than Hurts.
