Saban’s system doesn’t require an elite QB.

Which is the point. It’s remarkable that he can win at the ridiculously high level that he does without a great qb. Pretty much nobody else can.

While our roster isn’t as great as the one Richt left Kirby, we still have a lot of talent on the roster. People tend to think that because our kids haven’t been developed that the talent just evaporates. Plenty of young guys that just need quality coaches. We have that now with Pruitt and Co.

Richt was fired after a 9 win season. That was the best our previous coach ever did. He was fired after the worse season in our history. I get what you are saying but it’s laughable to even think CJP is inheriting a good situation. Or a situation nearly as good as what Smart took over.
