NCAA reaction to Burns throat slash [Fake]

Just heard on Sirius 84 that NCAA is considering suspending Chase Burns for throat slash after striking out side against Southern Mississippi. This can’t be real! Anyone else heard about this?

Good lord. The only thing I've seen about that is obvious satire from a Twitter account. I've seen this "news" making the rounds in a couple places (the LSU forum, of course), and people are proving that they are incapable of discerning truth from trolling.

I saw that mentioned somewhere and then searched for additional information from a "real source", couldn't find any and landed on someone trolling the Vols fans who BTW are experts at trolling everyone else!

Trust that I am not a troll if that is what is being implied. The conversation I referred to really did take place on Sirius college sports during an MCWS discussion. They said it in passing w/o going into detail as to where they got the info. Hopefully they are reacting to rumors. I have been on this site a long time and have been bleeding orange since 1956. Not very pleased at being called a troll for just asking a question.

Nope. Nobody called you a troll. The source for both the radio broadcast and the twitter is a verified troll. Richard G. West, aka “Dick”. Just try to spread the word about this guy. He winds up getting referenced as
”rumors” by writers and broadcasters that should know better.

Thanks. This is why us “old guys” shouldn’t start threads! I obviously should have titled the thread better. Maybe “Fake news from troll being quoted on Sirius radio” would have been better. I over reacted a bit when I thought Freak was calling me a troll. My bad!

I also heard the same conversation on Sirius XM Channel 84. It was during College Sports Today when Kris Budden was on as a guest previewing the MCWS. Budden mentioned Burns when she talked about Tennessee's deep pitching depth. When she made a brief comment about Burns, I was admittedly caught off guard by it.

I was unaware about RGW troll's tweet at the time, and in hindsight, Budden may be been reacting to his troll tweet. He's duped the media before. At least, I hope that what Budden was reacting to.

Richard G West might be the best troll account on Twitter because I have never seen one account spread disinformation as widely as he is able to do. Like, everyone falls for it! How have people not learned that this is a troll account by now? It’s incredible.

It makes no sense. The problem is actual media picking it up without verifying it, as apparently someone on Sirius radio did.
