Managed to catch the ending on Gametracker on my phone. Perhaps I can get home before the second game starts. A lot of seeded teams needed two wins today.

IDK why ESPN2 isn't showing the game. I guess they didn't send a crew to every site. But, there's the stream.

LVs somehow scored 2 in the Top of the 1st. VT with runners on the corners with 0 outs in the Bottom half.

One scores on a sac fly, with the aid of an error earlier in the inning, per the commentator. 2-1 LVs after 1.

Last out was a girl needlessly getting caught in a rundown between 2nd and 3rd after hitting an RBI double. It almost looked like she was ready to move the game along, so she gave herself up. Lol. 7-1 LVs in the middle of the 3rd. LVs will host UGA next weekend in a best 2 of 3 series, barring an epic collapse.

The 5-seed and 12-seed were both upset. I wonder how they decide who gets home field in a super regional between two unseeded teams.

Excellent. Great to see. If they advance does the one loss still hang with them, or do they start over fresh, and not have to go home with one more loss?

The slate is wiped clean every round.

The Round of 16, next week, is simply a Best 2 of 3 against another team.

Then, the WCWS is eight teams. It's double elimination until the Final, when they wipe it clean again (to our detriment in 2007), and play a Best 2 of 3.

I got into this a few years ago when they were making deep runs behind Monica Abbott every year. I think a Softball National Champions t-shirt would be unique and cool.

Ivy threw a CG in the first game. Her sister Ellen started the second game. Now, Ivy is back in with a big lead.

Seems like they did not give Ellen much of a chance, but I will not complain about a 7-2 lead

Of the 19 players on the roster, 9 are in-state talent, and 6 are from California.
