I have not looked it up but the low % in the 4th quarter was the reason why the % overall was 29%.They shot a lot of threes when they had a wide-open path for layups but instead passed out for wide-open 3's and did not make any of them.....course my memory is not all that good as a newly branded 86 year old so I welcome correction by anyone .I was surprised that the LVs' 3 pt % was only 29%. It seemed like they where hitting at a better rate than that. But as you say, they dominated all the other key areas.
Also, the attendance was only 7, 089 in a venue that can hold over 18K. Terrible look for the OSU fan base.
Happy Birthday!I have not looked it up but the low % in the 4th quarter was the reason why the % overall was 29%.They shot a lot of threes when they had a wide-open path for layups but instead passed out for wide-open 3's and did not make any of them.....course my memory is not all that good as a newly branded 86 year old so I welcome correction by anyone .
Happy Birthday and many more.I have not looked it up but the low % in the 4th quarter was the reason why the % overall was 29%.They shot a lot of threes when they had a wide-open path for layups but instead passed out for wide-open 3's and did not make any of them.....course my memory is not all that good as a newly branded 86 year old so I welcome correction by anyone .
true,,,those were cartoons.Absolutely correct .......told you earlier my memory is just not as good since I recently was minted as an 86 year old .Thanks for the correction.....those cartoons were very early in my childhood .
Agree. And I see no argument that by crabbing on the refs the ladies will play harder, as no team is playing harder. Players have bought in - maybe us fans can too. I am proud of her and this team, and am optimistic about what she is building. We can argue about this till Kingdom come and I’m sure we will. But Kim Caldwell is never going to be over performative w refs and almost never going to call timeouts to stop a run.
If you root for her “system “ you have to accept this as part of it.
We are kinda of the Rocky of teams. Take a beating to wear the other team down. Not how you would draw it up but we have done it all season. Here's the thing. When watching Ohio State players during their 16-0 run to go ahead, I thought last night, "Yep. They're used to teams crumbling under their pressure, and now that they've had this run, they actually think they're going win. BUT THEY DON'T KNOW TENNESSEE! The Lady Vols can take a punch, or two, or three and still get right back up. The Buckeyes are about to be stunned."
And that's exactly what happened. They blinked, and Tennessee didn't. And that's what Vic Schaeffer is going to be preaching to his players ... that they can't assume they've "got this" if they get a little lead on us. 'Cause the Lady Vols don't roll over. They may just kick some Texas azz instead. I would not be a bit surprised by that.
If she goes into the portal, that's one that Kim is going to take a hard pass on. Her talent is undeniable but her attitude is unacceptable. Let her be someone else's headache.I don’t think she’s our kind of player, for sure. After whatever that was last night I don’t think Kim would be quick to pick up the phone if she transfers.
Exactly, I said in another post but she seems like an LSU or North Carolina player. Both teams are going to be looking for a small forward with Morrow and Utsby transferring. If she goes into the portal, that's one that Kim is going to take a hard pass on. Her talent is undeniable but her attitude is unacceptable. Let her be someone else's headache.
