I have said before and will say again.....it's baseball.
You play this tournament all over again and you get a different result.
You have to have a really good team and you have to hope your team gets sprinkled with a little postseason magic.
Florida's last 5 losses at the CWS are by a single run.

O'Sullivan and UF are bordering on choking at this point. I won't discount the 5 trips to Omaha and how hard it is to win but he has to get over the hump sometime before he becomes Mike Martin of the SEC.
The young position guys may find their bats next year but he'll be without the pitching staff. Great pitching and defense can win games but only if you get on the scoreboard yourself.
I know you play the game for championships and fans say nothing else matters, blah, blah, blah. However, if your season ends in Omaha (even if it's 2 and Q), you had a great season. You have to win a lot of "BIG GAMES" to get there and the experience of just playing in a CWS means a lot to the individual players and will for the rest of their lives.
Fans (many who never played above LL) can lament about how the team "choked" because they didn't win the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP." Meanwhile, the players earned the right to be there and made memories that will stay with them forever........and good for them.
Not a Gator fan but if they have been to the CWS 5 times recently. That's a good program. It's not like it's easy to just get there.
