Once UF got eliminated, which Ray Charles saw coming as soon as the field was announced, I wanted to see entertaining games...which is what we’ve seen the past four days.
The thought of a Texas Tech-Virginia final is anything but entertaining.
For the casual fan, CBB’s regular season is all but irrelevant. This season was different because of ZW, for me at least. I enjoyed watching the kid play.
I’ve watched plenty my friend. He’s a great one dimensional player. That. Is. All.
They don’t play D in the NBA so you can throw that part of the game out the window.
The casual fan disagrees with you.
Now I’ll watch, because I’m all about seeing new schools winning a NC in hoops, which is rare. But you and I both know the casual fan isn’t watching a UVA-TTech final.
What the hell is a casual fan? I don't have time to follow college basketball regularly, so I would classify myself as casual. I enjoy all 4 teams in the FF over watching Duke.
True, because the gaggles of UK, Duke, etc. Bandwagon fans built up over decades will have zero interest.
Was it really? That was against UCLA. I don't pay attention to ratings but that surprises me.Yep, that’s kinda how ratings work.
A couple teams with little CBB brand recognition won’t draw a big number. Hell, UF’s first NC in hoops was one of the lower rated national title games...it is what it is.
Holy moly.
1. We finished the SEC 15-3 and the 2nd seed. You can argue the UT > UK or whatever, but over 18 games we were not the 4th best team.
2. Houston is a good team. Wofford is a good team. Both top 20 teams according to KenPom. That's just fact. Auburn is 11th.
3. We're a 2 seed because we had a good Quad 1/2 record. Almost exactly the same as Virginia, Duke, UNC, Michigan State, etc etc. All this while dealing with injuries to 2 starters during the season.
We lost in overtime to an underseeded Auburn team who has one of the better offenses and is playing hot. Explain to me how losing in the Elite 8 as a 2 seed in overtime = overrated.
Was it really? That was against UCLA. I don't pay attention to ratings but that surprises me.
I don't enjoy that basketball. You may have some mental problems or something, but me not wanting to like what you insist I should like, is your flaw, not mine.
Now shoot back another "you..blah blah blah...."
That logic makes no sense. Good job ignoring all the facts to just say a completely theoretical idea of how to rank teams...as opposed to actually looking at 18 games during the season.
