NCAA Transgender Stance Costing Us a Regional?

Probably so. IMO those females who are screaming equal pay in sports, Rapinoe for example. I say get rid of Women’s soccer, WNBA and tell those that want equal pay then make the soccer team or the NBA team. Same as golf and tennis.

I think the soccer issue is A LOT different than the WNBA. I don't think women are ignoring the revenue discrepancies. In defense of the Women's National Team in soccer, they brought in more revenue than the Men's National Team and were compensated far less. So I understand that argument. We all should.

I can't fully grasp the WNBA stance. I also don't know as much about it, but the numbers don't match up like they do in the soccer situation.

If you biologically have a Y chromosome that makes you a male. If you don’t that makes you a female. You can take a Honda Civic and put a Corvette engine in it and it will definitely run faster but it’s still a Honda Civic at the end of the day. Just my thoughts.

I've long said that I like my sports void of politics. The recent environment has made that difficult. It now seems like major sports associations want to make that impossible.

This isn’t politics and it sure isn’t sports. It’s just ignorance and spreading fear.

Looks like the NCAA has decided they will not host an event in any states that passed anti-transgender laws regarding sports. TN would be one of those states. Please tell me this would not prohibit us from hosting a regional. The NCAA is a joke.
It isn't just the NCAA. This is a real pandemic throughout our society. No matter how many body parts you remove or add, if a blind genetics test is run there are still only two genders.

Makes you miss the days when Jordan wouldn't endorse politicians. " Republicans buy sneakers too"

Next will be a young female athlete who will stand up and sue the NCAA for discrimination in her own sport for being female. When does sports have a transgender division?

Women are the ones suffering from this BS the most. When do they wake up and realize that they are no longer important to “the party that cares so deeply about women?”

I agree with your stance. I too feel the same way. However, I understand the environment and the entities that hold the most power (MLB, NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, NCAA) are pressured by their fans and employees (the players) to make these decisions and use their power to move the needle. Unfortunately, it's impossible to point the finger at one thing. It's a much larger movement. I'm not against that movement, but it's going to make for some uncomfortable situations and will inconvenience the everyday fan that's not concerned with the movement. I think until it gets to finish line, if it gets to the finish line, we're going to keep having these types of issues.

This "movement" is minority of loud mouths who will ruin women's sports. Little girls and young women will not have a chance.

This whole issue is just concern trolling imo. Lots of people who have never cared about women’s sports suddenly extremely worried about the sanctity of women’s sports.

But by all means, proceed with the freak out

Let's see how the NCAA handles bowl games next season. It will be interesting when they don't use the same excuse to pull bowl games out of all the states with legislation stating athletes must play in sports that are the same as their birth sex. Currently all but 17 states have legislation on the table for this. All states from North Carolina to Arizona and south of those states have legislation on the table.
