If we didn’t have so many turnovers. Even without those players, we win. If Dye and Key reached their tourney averages this game, we win. With a healthy Horston and Greene we were a legit final 4 team that's not my heart talking that's what my eyes can clearly see.we beat Louisville with both of them playing.dont want to play the IF game but the reality sucks
AND PUT TK ON THE BENCH. She’s not motivated, she can’t make shots, and she can’t catch the ball!! She is not tough. She is just a fashion model. This team is it’s own worst enemy. We have a few that aren’t nearly as good players as people make them out to be. I know we lost some players but our play at times is down right sloppy. This team needs a reality check. They are struggling in the things that made Tennessee once feared. Clutch shooting great rebounding and passing. Moving and hustling. Relentless defense and a mental toughness. And yes Kellie Harper you need to figure it out. We need a center that can score and handle and pass the ball. That can move. Brigette Gordon would have had a field day against us inside. Now we have players that struggle with 1 footers. Yes it happens but we shoot a bad percentage inside 3 ft and it should not be nowhere near that bad. We for sure have gotten away from recruiting good shooters and ball handlers and our bigs right now are either young or soft. Dye and Wynn will improve. Hopefully our 3 injured will be back. But this team needs to fundamentally get better in all areas and learn how to play smarter. But with all frustration aside if we get our 3 back healthy things do look bright. We got some young players that should be ready and capable of starting or playing early and often. But our passing and lethargic play at times has to be addressed. GBO
Clean up the turnovers and play better offensively this team would have and should have won this game .. Hate we lost but proud of the never quit in this team.. Looking forward to next season .. Go Lady Vols !!
Many, many, many, many turnovers killed us. Also just in other pressure games we play like our hair is on fire and not under control.
IMO, that turnover turned the tide of the game! You are but I agree that Dye's forcing that pass (for no reason) shifted the momentu,. The LVs were down by two and had Louisville rattled and then boom a 3 pt play off the TO. It does not all fall on that one play but in terms of critical moments, that one does stand out. But without Snoop, the LVs aren't in the Sweet 16.
The Louisville game plan was to take neutralize Key by physical play and they were successful .The refs did not call the many fouls committed and Key let that bother her to the extreme.I agree but fans should not directly start posting crap in the midst of their frustration. We lost to a team that was a heavy favorite but the kept the game close despite not having our best player and TK having her worst game since her freshman season. I feel bad for Key; it was just on of those nightmare days that can happen to any player. But we have whole bunch of lame-azz negvols who are primed to talk crap about a team that has battled adversity all season. That reaction is Frustrating.
We got within two because TK was on the bench and we had players in who could move, shoot, and make it. They could actually catch the ball and make points. TK is not tough; she is not motivated.Nah, I’m not about to placate these girls. We started playing to our potential and got within 2, then we just started doing stupid things with the ball. Like 8 straight possessions resulted in a turnover or a terrible shot.
Other teams know she breaks down under pressure. She is not tough enough to hold her ground. In my opinion, she doesn’t want to improve. Just wants her hair & eyelashes to look good. The Louisville game plan was to take neutralize Key by physical play and they were successful .The refs did not call the many fouls committed and Key let that bother her to the extreme.
If i had a daughter and i read these boards i wouldn’t bring my daughter near this program. It’s fine when u make comments about how a girl played but when u make personal jabs. that’s out of line. Most of y’all are grown men. Stay out of a young ladies business
