ND vs. Michigan

What a game.

Both QB's played incredibly weird games.

WHat a great catch by Roundtree.

That was an incredibly entertaining football game.

Having said that, again, a big game with mediocre defense.

Michigan had timeouts and a FG would have just tied the game. LSU had no timeouts in a one point game.

Yeah . . . but a sack, a scramble that takes too long, an INT, a batted ball all could have eliminated any chance to win right there.

OK, but a running play (QB keeper) off RG for a few yards and kick the FG. Seems more logical and the safe play.

That penalty could have gone against Michigan just as well. That was a very risky call by Hoke.

IMO, run the QB keeper and kick the FG. Force OT.

With five seconds, maybe six...yes. 8 and a timeout? Nah, you're good IMO. It was a five step drop right to the end zone. I think they even kept six to block. They had it covered. Right call IMO

Just saw a replay. The amount of luck on that play was amazing. The pocket was collapsing on Robinson and he got hit as soon as he released the ball which was way underthrown. If anything, that's got to be a back corner throw on a corner route. No way you throw a jump ball when you're in FG range.

ND may start 0-3! they play Michigan State next.

ND needs to get out of that TV contract, their forced to play a decent team every week while SEC teams get to schedule two or three out of conference cream puffs every year.

Yeah, that's their problem...

Michigan State's pretty crappy...

I'll agree with the last two sentences. A jump ball is too risky. That wasn't the right PLAY call.

Actually what I would have tried to done is (and I feel like such a loser for saying this) the Stick N' Nod play off NCAA football, where you fake the seam route with the TE, then run a post. I think that would have been the perfect play call in that spot.
