ND vs. Michigan

Lou Holtz said this morning that Notre Dame could go 10-2 and make it to a BCS bowl.

they actually could....8th BCS ranking makes them a lock; 12th ranking and 9 wins makes them eligible

they certainly haven't played like it, but if they were to get their sh-t together and win out, wouldn't be out of the realm

Entertaining. That is all I can say about it. The play of both defenses was laughable. And I laughed. A lot.

If ND doesnt step their game up, immensely, then Michigan State will shred them. If they dont make serious improvement, it will be a 20pt win for MSU.

Same goes for the MSU -v- um game in October.

Denard is a great athlete and a great football player, but he is NOT a drop back passer. I cannot even remember the last time I saw a um QB with so little ability to throw the ball.

But the game was entertaining.

can't wait to see MI State, beat them too.

Historically speaking, these have been very bad games for Michigan State. Teams have generally brought their A game in these situations, and MSU has historically had bad coaching that allowed them to get smacked in the face.

But this isnt history anymore. Mark Dantonio will have MSU ready to play this game on Saturday. If ND brings their A game, and MSU brings their A game, I see this as a 10pt MSU win. If ND cant figure out how to guard somebody, MSU wins by 21, or more. MSU has a GREAT stable of WRs and a couple of QBs who can sling the ball.

Im hoping both teams bring their A game.

I don't think it'll end that way either

yeah, tough part is that they still have to play all of them, and a few changes in luck here and there and they are 2-0. But that being said, I dont think they can hang with MSU. I realize Im an MSU guy, and there is a bit of bias, (ok, a Lot) but watching them against um I was doing this:

:dance2:  :clapping: :peace2: :pepper: :post-4-1090547912: :w00t:

I will come back next week and take my lumps if I am wrong, but I honestly do not see how ND can keep this under a double digit loss. I dont think they are very good.

Something to realize is that ND is still putting up around 550 yards of offense per game, and quite frankly pissed that one away against UM, although I loved the outcome. ND isn't a pushover, and they are playing at home. If I were picking straight up, I would probably take the home team ND.

Hey Look!! I found a picture of um's Defense. Oh wait. . . or was that NDs Defense. . . doesnt matter, they are both the same.

I wouldnt put much stock into that 550 until they play a team with some sort of defense. (oh wait, that is coming this week)

um's defense is notably week this year. They are short on talent and long on transfers. DE and DB are the weakest that um has had in many years. I have always respected the talent they have there, and they have won a ton of games because they out-talent teams. . . even when the coaching sucks. (lloyd was NOT a great coach. . . great guy, very good coach, but not great)

But this year, um is very down defensively. And if they dont get denard out of the pocket, they will stay down offensively also, because ND also has a very weak secondary. And USF had their way with ND for 3 quarters of that game.

Im not bashing either school, just saying that ND is not that good. And neither is um.

And if MSU loses to either of them, you can come back in here and bash me, because I will deserve it. :hi:
