B1G has been a 2-3 team conference for years. He never had them close to making the BCS Championship.

Not too hard to make a Rose Bowl when Ohio State is getting shellacked by SEC in BCS championship.

Hell, we beat him in 2007 in our last decent season.

The years Wisconsin made the Rose Bowl they didn't back in, they won the conference outright.

Sam died in 1992, his estate and children still wealthy but not the Arky fans Sam was.

One of his children, John Walton, donated the most a public university has ever received .. $300 million. Unfortunately the man later died in a plane crash. However, the Walton family still contributes none the less. They all have their own ties with Arkansas.

One of the kids is married to Bill Laurie. The big mizzou booster

I am sure Buffett gives no money to the University where he got his education and the city where he grew up an hour from...

So now we're sure he does but no proof? The article I read, from Huskers.com nonetheless, said IF he has given money it would have had to have been in the form of an anonymous donation. No one knows. They do know he does not get involved in the raising money for coaches business, he is a regular fan. So just cause he has money, it likely has little bearing on their ability to pay a coach. I'd imagine his giving, if any, goes to the education side much more than athletics.

We are in the south where football is religion and we are the only program in the state.

Come on.. you don't think Arkansas' pockets are at least as deep as Nebraska? The Razorback is a sacred symbol in every nook and cranny in this entire state.

Not sacred in my nook and cranny. But you are right that they own the state and have very deep pockets.

So he does not give a dollar that goes to the Football team or helping it?

They are but would likely be the same for you if you lived in Tennessee.

ha.. Arkansas fans get on my nerves sometimes with their fickleness and dumb@ss opinions. Although thats everywhere (at least in the south), there is no other program in this state to check it really

I am being SELF CENTERED tonight......

I want all of the SEC coaches to be shaken up except for our beloved bUTch.

Give them a taste of what WE have experienced.

This thread has given me a case of penis envy. Sure, the Haslams aren't paupers, but they pale in comparison to some of the names being thrown around. We could seriously use one of those mega sugar daddies.

It could be worse. There could be two big programs like Bama/Auburn and the fans could be twice as dumb.

What? Bielema is a fantastic coach.

Disagree. I think he is a decent/serviceable coach, but "fantastic"...no. He was made for the Big 10 and if I was him I would run to Nebraska as fast as possible. Not literally as he would not make it very far.

What about Butch? Is he a fantastic coach? Should he dash for another program?
