My Dad just went back for surgery to remove hemorrhagic cyst in kidney and the only reason he is having this done is because we was told that it could have him taken off the transplant list. When they was explaining this to my mom they said they will make two holes and if things go bad they could have to remove his kidney! When you look up this kind of cyst it says no surgery is required. Any way prayers please.
Hey rocy, I’ve been out most of the day with only a couple of times to try to catch up on posts. Im sorry I missed your first post. Thanks you all. They got it out and going to have it sent to biopsy. They didn't have to take any of his kidney and that is great because he is so close to failure already.
You not giving up means a lot. Seeing people that he cares about fighting, usually keeps them fighting more so. Wished I could be there for you little bro. At least I have two ears, or in this case, two eyes. Thanks guys he does not do pain killers or the medicine they use to put him to sleep good. He was in recovery for 4hrs and then he kept puking so he stayed tonight to get IV and they want to check his kidneys. He also is going to Knoxville next week to have his right eye Lazer so it won't bleed no more and he won't hurt he lost his sight in that eye and that has been what has been hurting him. Get this fixed and I am going to have to get him walking he has let himself go he just thanks he is going to die but the old man has been through alot and he keeps coming thru. Granted we have had some setbacks but I am not going to let him give up.
I am doing something now I never thought I would and that is help my mom take care of my Dad's mom that has dementia. She is at the part where she is forgetting to walk and how to eat sometimes and Brush her teeth. But my mom needs me so it's like working two jobs. You not giving up means a lot. It's tough. I wonder if it's vertigo. My Dad is dizzy also and he has had vertigo before I wonder if it's back. But he had to go do a rehab to get over vertigo. Prayers for you and your family.Mom and dad are both 86. Both have a few health problems, but dad's confusion is getting worse. He got through his eye compression test ok today, so he will have cataract surgery on one eye next week and on the other eye two weeks later. Please keep my parents in your prayers.
Edit: his balance is terrible, and I've been over there twice in the past week to get him off the floor because mom's not able to do it.

Do you think that cognitively he could maybe handle physical therapy? The elderly often have fall issues due to their, umm, our core muscles pooping out. They don’t have the strength to correct when they start to lose their balance.Mom and dad are both 86. Both have a few health problems, but dad's confusion is getting worse. From my experience I would recommend doing one eye at a time and let it heal. The eye Dr was going to give my dad vision back he did surgery and it took longer then he said to heal my Dad went in, he dilated his eye he said it looked good, that he had a little more healing. My Dad came home and was blind in that eye 4 hours later. Your Dad have diabetes?Mom and dad are both 86. Both have a few health problems, but dad's confusion is getting worse. My dad has had cataract surgery in both eyes and lost vision in one eye after. His balance and just getting around is not great due to it. He's fallen and injured his hand a couple times already. On top of it, memory is fading. Definitely hate it, but he is enjoying life traveling with my mom while he still can.Mom and dad are both 86. Oh. I hate that Windy. The surgery part on my side is as scary as the diagnosis. My Dad has quad Drupal heart bypass and it cause him to have Parkinson disease he had eye surgery and went blind then another doctor could fix it and he is now completely blind. My dad has had cataract surgery in both eyes and lost vision in one eye after. My Dad's balance is off when he walks and gets dizzy. I thought maybe the eye, but he has had vertigo before. So that's another thing to check. But I really just want him back going. He was scared there for a few months because of some things and he has just turned negative and he has never been that way. He thought the eye was a stroke then he has been sick and dizzy and a cyst was found in his kidney well they took it out and it's not cancer! So now he just has to deal with losing a eye witch sucks but he can steal enjoy life and be happy. My dad has had cataract surgery in both eyes and lost vision in one eye after.
