Surgery is over and went good! Had to do a bit more cutting than first expected, but she's good. Thanks guys, can't express how much I mean that.

Got to talk to dad this afternoon. He’s feeling a lot better just adjusting to everything. He’s still coming around and figuring it all out. But just talking to him you could tell he was much more himself. From what he’s told, they didn’t take so much out that his digestive system won’t be able to properly get out the nutrients in his meals. But it’ll be awhile before he can eat. Just continue praying for him please I can’t thank you guys enough for all the prayers so far! God is great!

bill, how is your mom holding up since she couldn’t be there? Been thinking about her. Nothing worse knowing someone you love, is going through something, and not being able to be there or do anything.

She’s struggling not getting to be there, but she went to work today so that kept her busy awhile. I suggested she find out if he could have his iPad and she called and asked. They’re going to meet her in the lobby tomorrow and she’ll take him that and some word searches to keep him busy

My dad got admitted to the hospital last night for complications from his diverticulitis let’s say to keep it clean. I don’t think it’s life threatening, but will likely require surgery. The hard part is with everything else, my mom isn’t allowed in the hospital at all. So she can only get phone call updates. I’m stuck in DC for now too, so I can’t be there either. Please keep my dad and mom in your prayers.

I know that's hard on you but your Mom and Dad know you are doing your best and I will pray. I also hate that is hard for your mom but I am sure they understand and know it's probably for the best.

Most hospitals and healthcare facilities have adopted letting healthcare personnel use FaceTime, so family members can at least connect with their loved ones. Check with the hospital your dad is in to see available. They will set it up for her or any in your family.

The employees will take the phone to the patients, so the patients don’t have to worry about it, fact is, most of the elderly wouldn’t know how and you have to have caring employees.

I’ve reached out to my mom and sister. They can go up there together, give up one phone, share one and do a FaceTime with them, dad, and myself
