I’m asking for prayers for a random guy named Lee.
Yesterday leaving HomeDepot Zach who works with me saw a guy laying beside his truck in the parking lot. At fist it looked like he was looking under his truck by he was looking the wrong way. I backed up and yelled to get his attention. Nothing. I got out and slapped the back of his leg and that roused him. He went in and out while I tried to talk to him. Very confused drooling and could barely move one side. I’m guessing stroke.
His first name was all I could get. I checked the news and saw nothing.
anyway, prayers for Lee please.

Well guess I will ask for prayers for a friend from work -- just found out he commited suicide last night, I can only wonder if it was because of all the craziness in the country -- his name was Brian. I still cant believe it.

Our Maintenace supervisor committed suicide two years ago, I understand how hard it is to wrap your head around that.

Praying man. I had a good friend years ago whp killed himself. He literally just left my house, stood on my porch telling me he felt the best he had in years. Just a little while later I got the call, I've never really got over that. I know it's nit my fault, but I've always felt guilty because he just left me and did it. Praying for you, hus family, and coworkers.

when they say something like that, it means they have made up their mind it will be over soon and their pain is/will be gone -- there is no way anyone can tell when they say something positive

A friend of mine’s brother did the same thing. He lived in Florida and worked at a prison for years. He had an alcohol problem and depression. He called her one day and said he decided he was going to move to Memphis to be close to her and he felt better than he had in years. He hung up the phone, went to a park and shot himself to death.

they really need to put that in the warning signs -- depressed people dont all of a sudden become happy or positive

I’ve talked about this before. My baby sis never even hinted that she was depressed, next thing I knew, she was gone along with my unborn nephew, while I was in boot camp. Most (not all) that tell someone of their plans are just wanting someone to help and care.

So, I'll tell my stories......This has been over 20 years ago but when I lived in FL, my sister was down there also. She went to church with a kid that was younger than her and she was trying to just be friends with him. She described him as lonely and pitiful (Sis, GVG, and I all worked for the same company, he worked there also). He called her one night professing love and she very gently tried to explain that she liked him as a friend but that was it.....bang......while they were on the phone. She has never really gotten over that.

Very good friend of mine in the late 80's where we worked at the time FINALLY asked a young lady out....we had seen this coming for awhile. She was a beautiful kid, very out going and everyone loved her. They moved in together and all the sudden she went missing. They found her 2 days later in a car down the road from the plant. Had shot herself with his handgun. Car windows rolled up, summer in S. Florida.

Of all the mental disorders, why aren't we working on this one the most. I think that curing depression, not treating but curing would decrease suicides AND mass shootings exponentially.
