Is that you in your Avi?My wife and I were fishing from the bank at Cave Run Lake in Morehead, KY, in 1994 or 1995, and she was bitten by a brown recluse in the "groin area" (worst place a woman could be bitten, and that's as specific as I'll get). She was very fortunate she got to the doctor, but that bite caused her to have to go through several rounds of antibiotics. Thoughts and prayers for him for sure. It was awful.
But probably feels a lot better. Hope so, anyway.I know, looks painful
HaAnd I called you Mr.C and you are a teacher. It's like I knew or sumptin
What she said about dawdling. But probably feels a lot better. Hope so, anyway.
I imagine they’re calling this cellulitis, which is a lot better than it could be. My mom was hospitalized twice with sepsis after infected cat bites turned into cellulitis, and then the infection spread through her bloodstream and triggered shock. (This is the cat that now lives with us.)
Don’t dawdle with bites and other wounds that start turning red, swollen, and hot. They can take off fast! Glad he’s getting better.
How's he doing today? My buddy is feeling a little better. They made two cuts, and drained his hand. I called him right after the gym, but he was asleep and I talked to his wife. She said he had streaks running up his arm, and that's exactly how my dad was when he was bit by a recluse. He woke up and called me back, and said he wasn't burning up his arm anymore. They're giving him antibiotics, and a surgeon is going to look at it tomorrow. Hopefully it'll heal up, and he won't need anything else done.
