Can you quote me saying that? And you think an 18 year old in his situation can afford all that, and the truck? I'm not being smart, I'm sincerely asking you. If you'd quit trying to see everything political, you'd see it doesn't make sense. I'm not crying conspiracy, but who gave him that kind of money?

* I was being smart about you quoting me on the tuition thing, because I know you can't.

I think the truck was his grandparents.

That makes sense. Maybe he earned the money to buy the other stuff, that's still a lot for an 18 year old with mental problems. Of course, that's just my opinion.

I’m trying to figure why every left leaning person on my Twitter feed is turning this negligent cop thing into a right vs. left thing. It’s like they’re calling all cops republicans and somehow placing on a particular side. It’s pathetic really. Not surprising, but pathetic.

To be fair, the right tends to lean into “We heart law enforcement/everyone that died because of them is a criminal” every time they do something terrible, which doesn’t work now

I agree. Supposedly his family was pretty dirt poor and he was able to invest a good amount of money plus had IPhone

I agree to an extent. I think overall I’m disgusted with the reaction on both sides of the aisle.

This has sadly become the mantra of Abbot and now his LT. Express outrage you were given misinformation on the front end, follow that up with Trump calling for arming people at schools and putting in metal detectors, and thereby distract from the real culprit: incredibly easy access to guns.

You know, after the El Paso shooting Trump called for strong background checks. Nothing happened.

Would you support first a seven day waiting period for any gun purchase and a heightened scrutiny for assault rifle purchase? Include for example a check of any involuntary commitments or arrests involving violence? If such is present dig a bit deeper before a sale?

Uvalde shooter bought his first AR-15 on May 17th. So your solution wouldn't have prevented this. Off to a great start. This wasn't a in the moment crime of passion. You could have made it 30 days and he would have done it 30 something days later

Does that include the ATF before conducting straw purchases and sending them south of the border?

Just a drive by to remind everyone how badly the Uvalde ISD police royally screwed the pooch on this and along with the school staff are completely to blame for this tragedy.
