Neiko Creamer commits

Maybe he'll become a tight end--and perhaps a good one. He does seem a WR-TE "tweener" at the moment. Back in 98/99, the Vols had a big wideout who never really blossomed, don't think he played much--but if memory serves he played in the NFL for a few years as a TE. I forget his name but think he was with the Packers for a time.

Pretty stupid series of comments, not to mention misuse of the word since, but I digress. Maybe, if you're a Vols fan, you could get excited about a 6'4 220lb very athletic, physical receiver. He really hasn't attended any camps so he hasn't gotten thr evaluations to rank him. I do think one service has him at 3* but look for him to jump if he attends camp(s) this summer.

His speed: 4.68. What's your point? I can think, very quickly, of 2 guys who ran 4.65-4.75 during their combine workouts who had/have pretty decent NFL careers....Jerry Rice and Anquan Boldin. The kid is a junior in high school- he can probably, pretty easily, get that 40 time in the 4.5s if that makes you happy. Finally, hell yeah it matters that his Dad played here. Kid is passionate about being a Vol which can make all the difference- the examples are endless. Hope that makes "cents" to you.

I like your :twocents:worth of input.

Agree with all of this and I harp on it all the time. Emmitt Smith ran 4.6-4.7 too. The Ravens don't win the SB without their "slow" WR Boldin.

To all of you meat-heads worried about his Star ratings and 40 time get over it!

Answer this, can the kid play? That's all that matters. The 40 yard dash has nothing to do with the game of football. How many times is this kid going to line up in a 3 point stance and run 40 yards dead-straight down the field? I'm willing to bet NEVER.

If the kid can catch, shake a defender, and get open that's good enough for me. Welcome Mr. Creamer.

As one or two guys have said, Rivals does not rank everyone this early. Neiko should be a 3 star at first and he is planning on doing a lot of camping circuits which should only help. Either way we take this commit all day. The idiots will have to get over it.

Seriously, who wouldnt like a guy on the team named Neiko Creamer? Thats gotta be the coolest name since Rico Suave!

Btw he's ranked higher than Vic Wharton on 247 but nobody is complaining about Vic are they?

The dude can play. Period.

I wouldn't put too much stock in his rivals 40 time. They are accurate about 2% of the time.

Besides, speed in pads is what really matters

Now I would like to see a running back commit. We need three great ones. GBO

You got your wish with Hurd committing. Now you need to wish for some OL and DL verbals. Who knows, you may get on a lucky streak. It might be a good time to buy a lottery ticket:eek:k:
