Netflix

The Gray Man was a very good watch. Was expecting some cringe but there was little to none.

Watched the first episode of Sandman last night. As huge fan of the book I was pleased with how close it stuck to the source. Slight alterations that will kinda blend later stories a little more but otherwise it was a great adaptation of the the first issue.

I’m really enjoying it. Just finished episode 6. Never took the leap to read the series, but I want to after watching this. Really like Gaiman’s short stories. May try to find some reprints or TPBs.

I can’t recommend it enough. You can probably find some used tpbs pretty cheap or most local Libraries probably carry the whole series.

I haven’t made it to episode 6 yet but if it’s anything like Issue 6 that introduces Death, that issue is chokes my up every time I read it.

It's excellent in a train wreck sort of way (of course that's the title).
I was crazy deep in med school and didn't really appreciate how far it went off the rails at the time. What an incredible lineup, but how much more poorly could it have been planned???

Were there no regulations back then concerning required support personnel per crowd size? 250K fans vs 200 untrained security personnel - that alone was a recipe for disaster. Their 3 headlining acts also did them no favors.

I recall seeing some of those same bands play at Lakewood for the second Lollapalooza tour. The Ministry took the stage about sundown and three swirling mosh pits formed around huge bonfires of trash and whatever else was convenient to burn. It was scary but the show didn’t stop. It think it was just the times.

Argo is on Netflix. Love the movie, but it is hilarious how they set up the movie by explaining how the CIA overthrew the prime minister of Iran and installed our own puppet Shah. The movie ends with the CIA being a bunch of heroes for rescuing 6 of the hostages. Just reminds me of the "FBI foils FBI terror plot" meme.
