Watched the first episode of Sandman last night. As huge fan of the book I was pleased with how close it stuck to the source. Slight alterations that will kinda blend later stories a little more but otherwise it was a great adaptation of the the first issue.
I’m really enjoying it. Just finished episode 6. Never took the leap to read the series, but I want to after watching this. Really like Gaiman’s short stories. May try to find some reprints or TPBs.
Were there no regulations back then concerning required support personnel per crowd size? 250K fans vs 200 untrained security personnel - that alone was a recipe for disaster. Their 3 headlining acts also did them no favors.I was crazy deep in med school and didn't really appreciate how far it went off the rails at the time. What an incredible lineup, but how much more poorly could it have been planned???
I recall seeing some of those same bands play at Lakewood for the second Lollapalooza tour. The Ministry took the stage about sundown and three swirling mosh pits formed around huge bonfires of trash and whatever else was convenient to burn. It was scary but the show didn’t stop. It think it was just the times. Were there no regulations back then concerning required support personnel per crowd size? 250K fans vs 200 untrained security personnel - that alone was a recipe for disaster.
