It was pretty crazy when they tied the drop in crime rate to roe vs wade. I had never thought what the effect of not having a generation of wanted kids could do to society.

The points they make are pretty impressive, as far as applying the vast amount of data to boil down to a root cause/solution.

I loved the study at the school. Where they were paying students for good grades, and the lazy students still didn't improve. I think that alone should be a good reflection about some of these welfare programs. I know people hit bad times and need help at times, but the goverment shouldn't be giving people cell phones and what not. Some people just aren't interested in rising above a set standard of living.

Yeah, the movie must have been a recap of the book, the gist that people will take what they are given, but generally don't desire for anything more either way.

Just finished watching Fall From Grace, a great documentary on the Westboro Church, well worth watching. I've got Freakonomics, Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Elliot Spitzer, Body of War, The Devil Came on Horseback, Hitman Heart: Wrestling With Shadows, American Gridhouse and Auschwitz: Inside a Nazi State in my queue. All available for streaming.
