Never ceases to amaze me

I think we were a few plays from making it a game. That fumble/no fumble was a very questionable call. I don't see how a ball that is moving and the carrier still moving not to be a fumble. The pass to Croom in the endzone. He is too big for a 5'9 guy to out muscle him. I am sure he feels as bad as any of us do about it today though. The pick 6. That call still baffles me. I am chalking that up to Worley getting his eyeballs fd in all night long by Striker. Poor decision to throw that one. All in all I am pretty happy with how we played. I am upset with the outcome.

Agree with this. I was whining over and over to my son in the 3rd Q to "throw it up in the EZ to North using a 3 step drop". I said it @ 1/second before JW launched that, then said "here it goes" as I sat on the edge of my chair. That it was North, but watched Croom club an absolutely perfect pass from Worley right into the DBs arms. Good play by that kid and he is no 5'9". More like 6-1. Was looking at that when I was whining for that play.

It never ceases to amaze me that we always have to have some one like you to talk down to the board. I don't see anyone blaming the coaches or players for anything. Does it make you feel better about yourself thinking you are standing on a higher moral ground? Most of us know the deal with the football program. Quit acting like the local authority.:whatever:

You're kidding right? Half the board is screaming fahr Bajakian, you must be skimming the tops of threads.

fair enough. Sorry about your parents. It's not that I'm overly positive, just that constant negativity isn't good for the soul man. That's all. I see it drown people.
We were at #4 and possible national champ early in yr 2 of rebuilding. Nothing to be down about in regards to the game. The OL will get better. There is no way to go but up.
Do you realize we had a true freshman rg who just switched to OL, next to another true freshman OT, with a true freshman TE on his back hip and true freshman rb in the backfield? At OK? True freshman aren't even supposed to be on the field in a game like that, and our teenagers are trying to block men that will be in the NFL next year. Learning experience for both players and coaches and both will get better from it.
Just not sure when.

all i want to see is constant improvement and eliminate blown coverages. i know robertson is a true freshman and thomas was in there as well. thomas especially got abused on a few plays. to me this game should have been a lot closer. to many just bad plays. yes i understand it is a young team, but you are going to always have young players playing. on Offense i'm just not impressed with what i'm seeing. worley just looks like a average QB ( maybe i got spoiled with shuler manning and martin ). maybe it is the play calling, it seems lackluster to me. we have all these big targets and still worley looks about well like an average QB. like i said maybe i'm just spoiled with the 90's. i'm going to try and stay positive for the next 2 weeks, but we better keep it close against georgia. just tired of being a doormat in the SEC. ready for a winner. on a positive note i think we are almost there on D. nice to see a team that tackles.

Worley is much better this year than last year. You don't have to look at stats, just using your eyes. His passes are much better, and he has thrown some "pro caliber" passes in the first 3 games. The pass to Croom went through his hands, and I blame the staff for putting him in that situation with the 100 yard pick 6. This team is vastly improved over last year, and it doesn't always result in a better record. Also, you say that we are always going to have young players play, but you only want the elite ones to play right away, and they should be playing among more experienced starters. We have true freshmen all over the place. Let that sink in. Shouldn't happen in the SEC.

The thing that truly amazes me is that most of the people on this board want everyone to be happy that we got blown out.

Exactly. OU's recruits would rank around 6th in the SEC. We were not competitive in the game for any meaningful length of time, trailing by double digits almost the entire game. We couldn't cover the spread in the 1st half, the 2nd half, or the game, so fans betting we were even worse than expected were the only winning ones, and they were betting against Tennessee. We did nothing to suggest we were even a top-25 caliber team. On a yards per play basis, our offense ranks 107th in the nation. Our defense, on the same standard, ranks 53rd in the nation. We looked like a mediocre team, and some fans are actually celebrating it.

Our offense, which featured two weak opponents and 1 good opponent, has gone from 94th in yards per play in 2013 to 107th in 2014. Sorry, but not seeing the "vastly improved" performance.

My favorites are the Bubbas who question the playcalling and gameplan.

These guys couldn't playcall a pee-wee football game, let alone a game with a depleted roster vs the #4 college team in the nation on the road.

Agree but... :eek:lol: jk!

Seriously? You choose one stat. I am guessing we have run more plays this year. We also played Austin Peay, Western Kentucky, and South Alabama last year. No one can argue that Utah State and ASU aren't better. You just have to use your eyes. Sure, the offensive line is a concern, but the passing game after 3 games compared to last year is much, much better.

Haha. Just make **** up. I guess 6 points behind and 13 points behind weren't "covering the spread." No wonder I have stated away from this forum.

i agree with most of this, but the offense is not vastly improved.
