Never too early to hate UGA

Stafford is the next Jamarcus Russell...cannon arm, some great games, some games he cant hit the broad side of a barn. And there will ALWAYS be a qb battle because Cox and him have the same amount of years of eligibility.

So you are saying that he won't be the next John Elway? cause if that the case I agree with you I think he wins the Super Bowl much earlier in his NFL career. :) Come on he is a freshman with 4 college games under his belt, behind a thin o-line, with receivers that cant catch a cold, running backs that couldn't find a hole in a 2 dollar whore house and he is playing in the SEC. Barring all of that he has shown great potential, poise and a heck of an arm. I think he is going to be great and will lead the DAWGs to many, many victories. JMO

It just seems like David Greene should be a starting point for comparisons at this juncture.

No doubt but if everyone else can blow things out of proportion why cant I. Its way to early to tell. As long as he (or Cox) is better than Quincy that will be fine with me.

His NFL career not withstanding i tend to agree with you on Stafford. He has a rocket arm, and part of the problem i've seen, is he throws it TOO hard at times....and the receivers look like ours did last year...

Having said all of that, i don't see UGA playing another game that bad all season....believe me, i wish they would, starting on Oct. 7.

We just don't know a whole lot about UGA....they haven't played anybody of note, and they're play has reflected that. They were flat against Col. It will be interesting to see how they do on the road this week against another supposed deadbeat in Ole Miss.

The good news for us is we've already been tested, and we sort of know who we are and more importantly, who we aren't. I think that helps us going in to the UGA game, how much, i don't know...hopefully enough for us to get the W.

Fade, you are the resident Dawg genius and consequently are at liberty to do anything you please.

Regardless of who QB's for Ga next week, the Vol D is going to have a field day on them.

I don't see Joe T having an easy time getting back in. With the season almost half over, JT being out, 2 young QB's to build with. Both coming off decent performances all things considered. JT has been in the shadows his whole career. I just don't see him coming back other than some honorary play along the way for being the team man.

I know that I shouldn't waste a minute of my time with you but I am going to address your wonderfully intelligent insight.

First of all, history is more than six years. Look at the overall record and I think that you will find that we have own the lead in the series.

Second, if you want to talk about streaks against someone we could easily bring up all of the games in a row that we beat you. I think they totaled nine.

Next, We haven't won a SECCG since '98 which I think that most UT fans will agree is pitiful. Up until a few years ago I am surprised you all even knew what a SECCG is.

You also comment about the ugliness of our mascot. That is just pathetic that that is all you have to do in your pitiful little life is to make fun of a mascot. Especially when yours is a bulldog.

Finally, you tell us to "go brush our tooth and get off our sister". I guess you are making a reference to us being rednecks due to us living in the south. If you have a map handy you may want to check out where Georgia is located in relation to Tennessee. If I am not mistaken it is located SOUTH of Tennessee.

I do not have a problem with fans of other teams coming on here and discussing football. It provides insight from another viewpoint that otherwise we wouldn't get. You are a disgrace to UGA fans, as well as college football fans in general.

Here. Here.

He could learn from Fadeproof and Lawgator and NC Gator. Maybe that'll be his only post.

Unfortunately, from my experience, this guy represents UGA fans to a tee. I live in Atlanta and I second the argument that UGA fans are now in the lead as the most arrogant, delusional, obnoxious fans.

Their history consists of 1980 and 2000-2006. The don't remember any years in between.

One good game and all fans start talking about the string of National Championships they're about to win. When I laughed at one kid (this was in 2002) he countered me with, "Oh yeah, when was the last time TN won a NC?" Um, that would be 1998, loser.

I think the most obnoxious fan of all sits in the cube across from me. The Monday after our Florida game and their cheese puff game against UAB, he comes in and starts talking to someone beside me (yelling over the cubes). "Hey! Did you see that GA game? We looked awesome - I don't know anyone who can beat us! Another shutout - we're going all the way!" He then follows it up with (for my benefit) "Did you see the TN-FL game? TN looked really bad."

You have no idea how bad I was rooting for Colorado last week...

So, I say HATE ON!!!!!

This kid now has severe emotional problems that have developed ever since you laughed at him. SHAME!!!

Trust me, I feel no shame and it was one of the happier moments of my life.

You should have told him Santa Claus wasn't real too.:)

Also, it is good to see that you are preparing the future of the UT cheerleading squad.

Another story of terrible GA fans. I live in Nashville and decided to go to the Music City Bowl in 2001, I think that was the year Greene brought them back for the win in Knoxville, anyway it was GA and Boston College. So we pulled up to the stadiumn and had every intention of cheering for GA (keep it in the SEC :) ) and we park next to a bunch of GA fans. before I could get out they surrounded my car and were all barking their black and red heads off. Seems they noticed my UT license plate in the front. I got out and tried to be civil by wishing them luck tonight, making some comment about cheering for the SEC and was drown out by their women in my face barking like little mutts. I won't repeat some of the language they used. Needless to say after the game(BC won), when I tried to speak and be civil again, they kept yelling at us that "we still kicked you a$$es". From that moment on I have despised UGA and 90% of their fans. I do have a close friend who is a GA fan and he is a great guy but admits that most of the fans down there are very rude and probably the worst in the SEC.
