Neverending MBRO memory thread

Main big guy texted the supervisor working today asking about that machine. I was standing by him when he got the text, and he told me to answer him. I replied, "your genius Tennessee fan figured it out in 10 minutes, boom". 🤣

why did lazy bones want 3 months off ? is he looking for a new job ?
He wanted to go see his sister in Paris, then his parents in Bosnia. 2 weeks quarantine going and coming from each country, plus wanted 2 weeks in each place. I get it, but a company isn't going to hold your job for vacation.

I guess the way they come and go at your company he will likely be back anyways

Probably, but only if he's willing to take night shift. I can't wait to see motor mouth in the morning. He was whining this morning about that machine, he's been working over, that nobody could fix. I bet he's going to be upset that I found the problem and fixed it 🤣

While it’s understandable, but no company would work with that time table. If they’re smart, they’ve already been looking for a replacement.

Am not have to train for 3 years?
Right! They actually have a trainee on the other shift I worked today. He's been working with the guy I filled in for. I gave him a "good talking to" about the not being like our trainee.

Companies have gone broke because people manipulate the situation. Its not understandable.
I see it in my own company, especially during this last year. Workers come in, stating when they can work and when they can’t and it’s accepted. Of course, being in healthcare, they’re taking advantage of the situation of not wanting to be exposed and the long hours, and you’re right, it’s manipulation and the all parties involved, knows that. Sickening.

Our company is a good company, global, and pays very well for what we do. None of us are millionaires, but we can make a good living, especially with the over time, and it's usually there if you want it. I say that because it blows my mind at how many I've seen quit over the years, and some who just don't want to work. We had a young guy, I posted about it, just married and you'd think would want to work. He quit because someone said something to him about not having on his steel toed shoes. Left a job paying $20/hr at 19 years old, plenty of opportunities to move up, because he got mad. Now he's working for $9/hr at another place, and has to wear them. It blows my mind🤪

We had a guy who decided to go out of town last fall and see friends over the weekend. When he got back, he thought he better get tested "just to be sure", knowing we couldn't let him come back unless he tested negative. Also knowing it was taking 4 days to get results.

I think I can one up this. Our business office assistant has been tested at least 13 times in the last year, I kid you not. Every time someone sneezes around her, she makes an appointment, and of course, our company can’t say anything in case she really has Covid.

The job market is a totally different world now than when I started at 14. Back then, if you weren’t performing well, your boss could call your parents and then you would be in for it.

We had a guy say he was exposed, left, and posted pictures on Facebook later that night on a date!

Same with school! This may be hard to believe, but I used to be a heathen 😁. If the school called my parents, there was no getting mad at the teacher, I got my butt busted.

A teacher was viewed as the same as your pastor, neighbors, or anyone in authority. They were to be respected as if they were your parents. (I have no problem believing you are, ah, I mean were a heathen)
