so it's OK with you two to have cops to come up to LEGAL U.S. citizens to question if they are here legally?????????

See, this is a reason I will not and can not vote republican. Civil Rights of legal U.S. citizens are gonna be blatanly violated now.

And I have no problem with ILLegal aliens being questioned, but not at the expense of a legal citizen being questioned because their skin is brown.

Stop using your affirmitave action BS as a crying point. I have many immigrants working for me who have legal documents that allow them to work here, and they are paid fairly well.

The happenings in our southwest are embarassing, and you are all for it...that is sad, that you encourage the empowerment of those who arent liable for taxation, from the coffers of those who do.

How will you know which is which??????????? Your way would be for no one to be checked thereby allowing anyone who wanted to come in come in!

that's not the point. LEGAL american citizens are going to unrightly questioned with this system. don't worry, you won't be profiled

I have no clue what the solution is to illegal immigration, but profiling LEGAL citizens aint it.

man, that's just nuts... like i said in the earlier post, don't worry, you won't be profiled so it's all good in your eyes.

if you were being profiled by cops because of your skin all the time, you'd have a problem with it.

There is no way you could.

Of course, if we just made them all legal, non tax paying, free health care receiving citizens, we wouldn't have to worry about stepping on Civil Rights.

i'm not saying that's the solution either...

but i'd hate for some loon to all of a sudden say cops can come up to all white people (me included) in this country for them to prove if i'm legal... i promise, i don't carry that paperwork on me.

I tell you what Cash, you find something that upholds our CURRENT illegal laws and fixes the current problem, short of giving them citizenship, and I will take back my comments.

Until then, (if ever) Arizona is putting their foot down when the Feds wouldn't.

i told you, I have no clue what the solution is.

but LEGAL citizens being questioned because they have brown skin color goes against everything this country was founded on.

of course you would give it a thumbs down because you never had to face it and never spoke to the many legal immigrants who also support measures like this.

and if you really think they are going to go out of their way to profile non-whites then you haven't thought this thru. There aren't enough cops in AZ to do that in Phoenix alone, much less the entire state.

i've never faced immigrants, legal or otherwise??? Man, I grew up in Antioch... Immigrants all over the place. Does that compare to Arizona??? Nope, nowhere close but dont' act like this isn't in my life.

I just don't believe on civil rights being trampled on for LEGAL citizens.
