It very well may. But I'll say this: Unless something significant has changed, there is a big difference between the artwork the local sales rep is showing retailers and what is actually going to be worn on the field.
Only way I can ask you this is through a quote -- Will Comcast be adding the alternate SEC N channel soon - I am only seeing 1 so far and the CSRs are still clueless ( I am in Illinois ) ?
Don't know about up there, but usually those alternates are only active the day of the game. That's how Comcast operates the BTN alternates down here. The channels pop up on gameday and then go away again.
If they don't, you can always watch the SEC Network games for free on the WatchESPN site and app.
It could be that UT does not wish to wear the uniform as designed and has been working with the manufacturer to settle this disagreement to the satisfaction of all parties.
That's the last thing I can/will really say about the issue.
Uniform update Tennessee: Vols prep for final season with Adidas - Saturday Down South
"TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS (ADIDAS)
2014 HOME: White helmet + orange jersey + white pants OR White helmet + orange jersey + orange pants
2014 ROAD: White helmet + white jersey + white pants OR White helmet + white jersey + orange pants
2014 ALTERNATE: Orange helmet + grey jersey + grey pants Tennessees go-to alternate last season was its Smokey Grey TECHFIT uniforms after their grand debut in Knoxville came against Georgia. The VOLS wordmark on the chest was a nice touch along with the state outline above player names on the back. Jersey numbers featured a checkerboard pattern inspired by Tennessees end zones."
Orange helmets? Did I miss something? I haven't heard anything official on this...
Guys, this is no joke.
This a mock up of the jersey Adidas sent us but they are considering this particular version as a t-shirt as well. The New Gray Jerseys are supposed to be the same Gray color with an orange and gray checkerboard pattern on the top part of the jersey. We haven't seen the actual jersey so this is all we have for now. I would think the checkerboard pattern would be just on top of the shoulders. We shall see.
Go Vols

When you have a less than average program you have to use gimmicks to attract attention. Uniforms have nothing to do with sound coaching or winning. UT will have a new uniform to produce revenue for an indebted athletic program that is having a very hard time getting out of debt.
No, gimmicks are not needed. CBJ has done a good job of bringing attention back to the program without using any gimmicks. Have you not been paying attention to recruiting over the last couple of years?
Guys the jersey will happen and I am betting for Florida. I do believe the checkerboard pattern will be on the shoulders but not on the sleeves. Not sure how it will look but if the players like it. I am all in.
