New uni's, love, hate, or Meh?

Love them. Like many, I think a matte grey helmet with orange decals would really set it off, though.

I'm guessing there will be a new helmet for these uniforms. CBJ wants to keep a little hot sauce in the bottle.

There's no need for a new helmet. The newest video shows white cleats which brings everything together NICELY. Jones is a genius, why do black like everyone else, when SMOKEY is perfect, I LOVE IT

Agree. I thought the helmet needed to be grey but after watching the video, I love it with te white helmet. Well done

Even though I don't like them, they can wear bright pink for all I care so long as they win and recruit well.

Generally really like them, but I don't care for the "VOLS" on the front. Looks a bit silly, so I'd be in favor of removing it.

Otherwise they're great. I don't think a charcoal helmet is needed.

You may be right. Personally I'd like to see a different helmet with this uniform and I still think we will. FWIW the picture released of Maggitt show's black shoes.

I think they look great but the helmet doesn't look right IMO.Need a Grey helmet.And remove Vols from the front,kinda looks tacky.Now they just need a black and orange uni!

Don't misunderstand what I'm about to say. I'm 55 years old and a big orange and white tradationalist, however I was at that Halloween game when we wore the black jerseys, it was rainy, cool and miserable atmosphere. When the team ran out in those black jerseys , the place lite up like a christmas tree. The team played like unbeatable stallions and it provided a emotional lift to the players. I know it shouldnt matter what you are wearing, but if it lets the players have some uplifting emotion or whatever, then by all means, DO IT. I think it looks great, but a black helmet would really set it off.

I agree with Tennman. I am a traditionalist as well, however I no longer play, no longer coach, only sit on my arse in Section D (I am older than Tennman with two artificial knees and a fake hip). Loved the black unis and almost felt I could play with all the adrenaline that those unis and that night brought. These new unis, whenever they may be worn, are good by me. It is no longer about me, what I like or dislike, it is about "cruit'n" and winning.

as an afterthought, whoever you are, don't stand your ass up the whole game. As a former coach, I can yell louder than most while seated, but can and will stand when we need a stop. Ok, that was about me and arguably not the proper forum, but I digress.

Love them I'm with some of the other ones on here. The helmets should be black with an orange T or matte grey.

If the players like them then I think its great. They play the games and surely we as fans can let them have something new for one game at least.

The grey just screams southern to me and I love all things southern, also fits with ole smokey and the smokey Mnts.

and finally I think they are unique and that's hard to get these days.
