Thinking of posting a poll about this poll. But in doing so I won't wait for all the important information to surface and I'll leave out valid options for people to choose from.

Don't like the bright orange socks or the checkerboard sleeves with the dark gray unis. Those will both look much better with white unis. Or it amy just be the shadowing in the pic that don't highlight the bright socks in the 2nd pic, but it looks much better.

Edit: More I look at the pics I think it is Maggitt that makes the 2nd pic look better (no homo) than the skinny guy in the first one.

When the team ran out in those black jerseys , the place lite up like a christmas tree. The team played like unbeatable stallions and it provided a emotional lift to the players. I know it shouldnt matter what you are wearing, but if it lets the players have some uplifting emotion or whatever, then by all means, DO IT. I think it looks great, but a black helmet would really set it off.

As long as that Orange Power T is on it, then GO VOLS

Or a carbon fiber grey with orange power T no stripe. I like the new uni all but the white helmet. And its only an alt for all those that are acting like butch is changing school colors lol.

I am starting this thread simply because I can't get a straight answer.

I don't want an opinion. I just want to know are the new grey uniforms our home unis, away unis, or special occasion uniforms?

I like them, but don't love them (yet). I think the Smokey uniforms look better without the Orange sleeves/compression shirt.

But what REALLY matters is do the PLAYERS and RECRUITS like them? Looks like they do. If so, I'm ALL FOR THEM.

I like tradition but if the players like the unis then fine by me. I'm very relieved that CBJ chose gray over black.

Nothing good happens when the Vols wear orange pants (except that time with the black jersey), although I do like the all orange look. Otherwise, I like the new unis. So, basically, I think they should scrap the white jersey orange pants combo.

If it will bring the stars let them wear purple green and yellow if it brings the 4 and 5 stars, wear what they wont, as long as we win.

Considering the fact that white jerseys and orange pants are a ROAD uniform, it is not surprising that we have a lower winning percentage when wearing them. However, beware such absolutist statements. A few notable exceptions to this assertion would include the following:

That doesn't include the host of road games played during that period against Vandy, Kentucky, and other lightweight SEC programs or opponents of similar caliber that we played during that period. When you consider that Fulmer flat did not like orange pants, we have very few instances from his era to add to this list of games won when we wore white jerseys and orange pants.

I hope that this will put to rest all nonsensical assertions which doom us to defeat when we wear specific uniform combinations. Unfortunately, I am certain that even incontrovertible evidence will not be accepted by people who are predisposed to dislike specific uniforms.
