In the chilling 14-second surveillance video, the killer, wearing a white tank-top T-shirt, denim shorts and sneakers and a shoulder bag, emerges from the back of the BH gourmet Deli in Fordham just after 4 p.m. Friday and opens fire on his target standing at the counter.

The gunman steps forward and repeatedly squeezes the trigger of the firearm as his victim crumples to the floor on his back, legs shaking, the footage shows.

Wow, all these white supremacist trump supporters are out of control. They should have been told that the civil statues have come down, so they should be repressed.

You guys don’t seem to understand. Defund the police, city councils and mayors not supporting them, automatic guilty till proven innocent policy against said police and stating a policy of no longer even prosecuting crimes is working as intended. See, it’s all one big happy dem alternate reality fantasyland. It’s all good, you buncha racist haters.

NYC's 'soft on criminals experiment' has been a Disaster: NYPD commissioner blames crime reforms for emptying jails after Suspect Arrested 50 Times Goes On The Run After Being Freed

The New York Police Department commissioner implored the state's new governor to roll back disastrous crime reform laws, calling the 'soft-on-crime experiment' a failure that has led to the city's runaway crime.

'This city is built on public safety,' NYPD top cop Dermot Shea told NY1 on Tuesday. 'We're probably about two years into this soft-on-criminals experiment. … Show me a New Yorker that thinks this experiment has worked.

Shea made the comments after an innocent bystander was wounded Monday during a 5:42 p.m. shooting near West 31 Street and Seventh Avenue. Police said the gunman meant to strike a man inside Penn Station who he'd been arguing with over food.

Last week, he said, a career criminal who had been arrested about 50 times was escorted by an officer to a courthouse to answer to six of his latest charges. Rather than locking the man up, the judge let him go and instructed him to return in a few days later, Shea said.

The man never returned.

Hundreds of NYC Inmates Serving Time on Rikers Set For Early Release Amid Surging Crime

rikers-island-001.jpg

Hundreds of inmates serving time on Rikers Island are set to be sprung prematurely as part of a desperate bid by Mayor Bill de Blasio to deal with the shortage of correction officers willing to work there, The Post has learned.

The horde of ex-cons — who could be freed starting Tuesday — would comprise the second wave of convicted criminals granted early release since last year, when officials used the COVID-19 pandemic to justify putting around 300 jailbirds back on the streets.

Those inmates were among more than 1,500 who were freed last year due to the coronavirus crisis, reducing the city’s jail population to 4,363 — a level not seen since in more than 70 years.

New York Gov. Hochul orders immediate Release of 191 Rikers Island Inmates, citing 'technical' violations

Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday said she was ordering the immediate release of 191 inmates who are locked up on Rikers Island for what she called "technical" violations of their parole from state prison.

Hochul made the announcement before signing into law the "Less Is More Act" that will stop the state from putting ex-cons back behind bars for missing appointments with their parole officers, violating curfew or testing positive for drugs or alcohol.

A 22-year-old New York City man has been arrested 57 times this year, including a stabbing, while 46 of the arrests stem from retail thefts.

Isaac Rodriguez enjoys robbing one store in particular more than any other: Walgreens. He has shoplifted from Walgreens 37 times and holds an affinity for the store in Jackson Heights, which he has lifted 23 times, the New York Post has reported.

Rodriguez hit the Jackson Heights Walgreens on July 7 and stole a variety of products. He shoplifted “10 units of Ensure, 12 Walgreens wipes, 15 units of Sensodyne toothpaste, and 8 units of Cetaphil lotion,” according to court records obtained by the New York Post.

“This guy comes here every day stealing, every single day. He comes, and he steals,” the manager of Walgreens at Jackson Heights detailed, the Post reported. “We call 911 and make a report, and that’s it. Our company policy is if anyone comes, because of a safety issue, we cannot stop him. We cannot do anything.”

The manager says Rodriguez has been shoplifting from the store for “at least a year, at least every single day. … Whenever he goes to jail he stops. Sometimes he comes three, four times [a day] to get all of a [certain] merchandise,” according to the Post.

Sounds like mental illness. You'd think he would be evaluated and put into an appropriate incarceration treatment program.
