New York City

“The typical home in San Francisco or San Jose now costs more than $1.5 million,” Taylor Marr, Redfin’s deputy chief economist, said in the report. “Add in today’s 5%-plus mortgage rates and you have a sky-high monthly payment.”

Unreal monkeypox utopia SF has.

There are absolutely differences. Kind of like a black male being warned to NEVER EVER be caught speeding going through a small town or in a rural area.

Crime in Dickson, Tennessee
Crime is ranked on a scale of 1 (low crime) to 100 (high crime)
Dickson violent crime is 43.4. (The US average is 22.7)
Dickson property crime is 80.5. (The US average is 35.4)

I just randomly picked a small town in TN in order to respond to someone who made a post about a recent crime in Atlanta.
Just wanted to make the point that there is crime everywhere and there has always been crime everywhere.
This rightwing attempt to portray cities and declining crime ridden cesspools is so pathetic that it would be laughable if not for the number of mindlessly gullible buying in.

I did find Dickson's numbers kind of funny given the fact it was a completely random selection.

I saw aother post yesterday where it was pointed out that the per capita homicide rates were twice as high in states that went Trump than in states that did not.
Yes and what do Memphis, St Louis, Kansas City, New Orleans, Birmingham, Tampa, Miami, Little Rock, Montgomery, Dallas, Houston, Jackson, etc have in common

Keep living the dream ……. Chicago and Detroit says hi

The attacks on Atlanta have been laughable. But even you must agree Chicago is a major problem
I just spent some time looking through crime statistics. Chicago really didn't look that bad. Lots of small cities and towns have higher crime and murder rates.

There's this thing called per-capita.
Look up murder rates for all US towns and cities.....prepare to be shocked.
I do understand per capita and I also understand that law enforcement ranks Chicago as one of the worst cities for several reasons. It’s worse than most every other city it’s size

Which is as dumb as calculating the WC EMR on # of employees and hours worked. XOM has 60-70,000 employees and if they have 1000 recordable incidents in a year it's a blip on their EMR. A small company with 50 employees has 1 incident and the EMR explodes, that is why most companies have stopped using the EMR as a sole determiner in safety performance for vendors.

Same goes with cities/towns and violent crime.

lol.....It's the only fair way of comparing groups of vastly differing sizes.

While listed as 2019 stats I think it's still more than accurate enough to give an idea of some pretty crazy variables.

There were 4 cities with over 2m people. Homicide rates ranged from as low as 3.39/100K to (you guessed it) 18.26 for Chicago.

There were 6 cities ranging from 1 to 1.6m. Homicide rates ranged from as low as 2.46 to Philly at 20.06.

There were 4 cities between 900k and 1m. Homicide rates ranged from 2.57 to Columbus OH at 16.28.

You get the idea. Now just going down and hitting off the really big numbers...

In the 600K group we go from as low as 2.76 up to Detroit and it's 39.80 to the eye watering 55.77 in Baltimore.

The 400K group goes from 3.08 up to 30.93 in Kansas City.

The 300K has 17 cities ranging from 2.83 to St Louis and it's dizzying 66.07.

There's a lot of cities listed in the 200K group (36) and the rates go from several below 1 to Baton Rouge at 38.26.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is population actually isn't a particularly great predictor of homicide rate when cities of similar population can have wildly varying rates. These other variables need to be looked at and addressed.

Right wing media at it's finest. Big scary cities....bad.
Grim Reality Mars Chicago’s Once Magnificent Mile
That crime is up in Chicago is no secret; no one is in denial about that except for liberal dolts like luthervol. According to the FBI, the murder rate nationwide is up 30% from last year. Rates of violent crime and property crime have also sharply increased.
No where is this more apparent than in Chicago- with the possible exception of Portland. Rather than a 30% increase in the murder rate, Portland has seen an 83% increase.
Large metropolitan areas like Seattle, Portland, Washington, D.C., New York City, and San Francisco have seen skyrocketing rates of crime over the past year.

Don't tell luther. He thinks Dickson is the murder capital of the world.

Two teen girls charged with Hate Crimes in Queens ‘anti-white’ bus attack

Two teenage girls accused of an “anti-white” attack on a Queens woman riding an MTA bus were arrested on Tuesday and charged with hate crimes, according to police.

The suspects, 15 and 16, are facing assault and aggravated harassment raps over the ugly July 9 attack that left the 57-year-old victim, Jill LeCroix, bloodied enough that she required three staples to her head, police said.

Both charges were classified as hate crimes, the NYPD said. A third suspect is still being sought.

While riding the bus, LeCroix, a grandmother of five, was approached by three female assailants who struck her on the head with an unknown object, causing bleeding, while making anti-white statements, according to police.

No it's not and that is why most companies stopped using EMR as the sole means of rating safety performance. They came up with better and more accurate measures.
Sure it is. It's like a percentage. _______% of our employees suffered a workplace injury last year. What's more fair than that?
