After having listened to a lot of commentators on his slow release, I think the concensus is that he has talent and athleticism, but does need a lot of work on some machanics, and particularly that release. I have to admit for the longest time I could not see that argument but watching him this year and listening to the commentators I think I was wrong on that. He needs work and time.
He may not ever get there, but I do think it would be a mistake to count him out at this point.
Can't imagine much improvement over the next year with mechanics.
how does any of this help refute Lex's comment? That seems a harsh comment. How do you know that? If that's what he focuses on, seems like he's pretty good with making up his mind and getting things done.
He might fail because he simply cannot physically do it, yes, but it won't be for lack of trying.

You never change someone's natural throwing motion. They might get his arm up a bit higher, but his "slot" ain't changing much. Ditto pitchers. They can change footwork and tighten up all the stuff leading up to the throw, but that motion is generally what God gave you.I think an NFL coach could have him straightened out by the beginning of the 09 season.
Tebow will be fine no matter what happens. If the Snake can make it in the NFL Tebow can to.
A bigger strike in my opinion (with my crystal ball in hand) is his decision making. Tebow holds the ball as long as UT QBs. In a pro style offense he is going to have trouble with reads.
