Previous staff didn't feel Chris could play at the SEC level but felt they had to take him due to fact he was a 5 star from Tennessee and they had lost out on so many top rated players from UT. took him more from a PR standpoint than a talent standpoint.

Had he been a 4 star, we would not have offered.

Vinson was garbage. Such a disappointment. How he didn't see the field much this year with all the issues we had in our defensive backfield and with our WRs tells me all I need to know.

understandable, we had lost Jimmy Clausen to them and Harrison Smith, so they had to do something. I honestly thought he could at least be a speed rush DE, but I guess not.

That's a blueprint for getting fired. Is it good PR to take a 5 star and everyone assume he's going to be good and then disappoint? Not only is it bad coaching, but it's horrible logic.

last think I heard this morning was it was expected to be final today. Sexton is the agent so he may be talking about Lane's deal with Hamilton. :)

those 2 were not a surprise.

as far as any others, there are several that could possibly leave. I could give you 16-18 names of potential players that might leave. From that group, I would expect 5-7 of them actually leave. But pinning down who, impossible to say.

kids that have been around for a few years and didn't make a dent for playing time this year, are perfect candidates. Sure you could name them as well as I could.

So no one that will cause Volnation to meltdown anymore than normal...thats good. I am guessing someone like a Todd Campbell or CJ Fleming or something of that nature

oh that was one criteria. there are a few that wouldn't shock me if they end up gone that would create a "meltdown". But I've learned in over 10 years, doesn't take a lot for a "meltdown".
