Newspaper Interview w/ Tisha DeShields

That's a good point but you'd think UGA would be the ticket. I think Staley's a great coach.

I think she is too. What about Andy? UGA shows an hour and a half from Atlanta. Can't run home for dinner, but parents can still come to games; it would be easier than to Columbia or Knoxville.

She's noticed those recruits Staley is pulling in. Andy has always been the red-headed step child. No offense you redheads out there.

I think they still live in Norcross, so Columbia may be slightly easier to get to than K-Town. It would be curious to know what Diamond is looking for. She can go to UGA or South Carolina and have a good career but she would be playing in front of 1,500 people. If she wants the use of the best facilities and support staff in women's basketball along with playing in front of 7,000 to 12,000 supportive fans then she should choose the Lady Vols. It all depends on what she wants. Good luck to her wherever she goes but I hope she will be wearing orange and white.

I would never let my daughter play for Andy. I've been around him and the team some at various venues after games and such and I just don't like the image he projects to the team.
I was at the UGA game when we played them at the time Tasha Humphrey was a senior. The teams used to have to come out of the building to get on the bus in Athens. About an hour and a half after the game there were about 150 Lady Vol fans waiting on the team. Not one UGA fan to be seen. Tasha came out and I talked to her a while. She said "this is amazing. We never have fans lined up meeting us after home games, much less away games." She said "this is more people than follow us to away games." Why go to a place where fans don't really care.

Excellent point. In 2013 Tennessee was number 1 and USC was 26 at 3900 and UGA was 35 at 3100. Do you believe DeShields already knows where she wants to go even before she left UNC?

I believe she already knows. I wonder if she is waiting until June/July, because Cooper probably made a deal with MTV not to announce until the episode airs.

What about her mother's statement re second session summer school? The below info is from UT's web site. Do you know the date for the Cooper announcement on TV? I guess she could register late and still start classes before add/drop.

07/03 2nd Session Begins
07/04 Holiday
08/08 2nd & Full Sessions End

All I know is the show will air in June to early July. The date hasn't been set yet I believe freshman orientation is June 30,

From what I've read the players are all coming back at different times this year, They aren't all staying on campus for the summer like last year

Don't know if it means anything but Andraya posted a selfie of Diamond and herself after a gym session on Twitter yesterday. I think they are both home in Georgia this week. I know players from different teams are friends, but still think of it as a positive that they are hanging out together. Andraya loves being at UT. She's a great ambassador.
