Stupid take. Not a die hard basketball fan obviously. What’s the point?? Being relevant in college basketball is the damn point. F a final four. We’ve had a top 5 basketball program for awhile now, and it’s ridiculously respected throughout the basketball world. That doesn’t matter to you, than you really don’t care about basketballI'm about ready to move on from Barnes. Could we do worse, ohh yeah...a lot worse, possibly.... but he isnt ever going to get us to a Final Four so what's the point?
Time to retire, Barnes.

I still think he is a great coach, and I loved him while he was here until he pulled his stunts. Wouldn’t want him back here under any circumstances, ever. He destroyed his legacy all by himself. He cheated, asked people to lie for him, and he lied to his coworkers and superiors before dumping all over his friends and colleagues. I’m happy to watch his progress since then, but I would never trust or respect his integrity again. He also has said he has no interest in returning to Tennessee. Auburn has a good coach.Gotta say I'm most definitely on board with the return of Pearl.
If 16 years of Bruce Pearl and Rick Barnes could not produce a Final Four here then I’ve resigned myself that I won’t live to see us in one.I'm about ready to move on from Barnes. We were down 2 starters today. Wasteful, long winded postI commented the other night that I see this team going 2-8, possibly 3-7 down the stretch. That wasn't a knee jerk reaction to the Ky loss, but rather an honest observation of how grueling it is to compete in this league, especially this year. So many games have gone down to the wire, and there is so very little margin for error. Last year, DK bailed us out time and time again, either creating shots or driving the lane. Who does that this year? But that was lightning in a bottle. I don't believe there was a full roster before Estrella's injury or Carr's departure, so bench depth at this point is almost nonexistent. One more injury could potentially erase any hope for a .500 or better conference finish. But I don't intend to bail on these guys. Since the arrival of Pearl and Barnes, I have never enjoyed watching TN basketball more, and I have had much more reason to grin instead of groan.
