These stadium db levels have to be exaggerated. Stuff over 130 is jets taking off and pain threshold territory.They are just making the number up as they go along. It said best 125 (our number from Bama) on the scoreboard. Of course they are going to say they got louder. Neyland is objectively louder

The way their stadium is configured just doesn’t lend itself to being as loud… doesn’t mean their fans weren’t as loud as they could be, but it is what it is.They’re making it up. I’ve been to their stadium before. It’s quiet. Sure, they may be louder now, but their stadium is small compared to ours
Sorry, but Neyland Stadium wasn't louder before the addition of the north end upper deck in 1996 made it a fully symmetrical double decker bowl.Neyland isn't as loud as it was back in the 80s-90s. That was back when the upper deck stayed seated and stomped their feet the whole game. It was deafening
