Neyland 125db vs. Sanford 131db

I will say at Neyland against Bama they showed video of a db meter on the score board and I saw it get above 120. It wasn’t a graphic on the scoreboard like I’ve seen before at Neyland or at other stadiums but actual video of fluctuating numbers looking like the below. Obviously could still fake it but leads me to believe they were trying to show it legitimately.

This sounds made up. Sanford is loud, but the open-ended design doesn't trap in the noise in the same way that Neyland does (and also Bryant-Denny and Tiger Stadium). Erik Ainge's comments earlier in the week were stupid, but Sanford is still probably just middle-of-the-pack in SEC in terms of noise.

14 points is not a blowout
They only passed 4 times in the second half, intentionally. How was the game looking when they did pass? They could have named the score if they kept up, which actually makes it more embarrassing when a team treats you like a buyout game.

Watch it again... they had a good drive to start the 2nd half and after that we forced a fumble and back to back 3 & outs. They didn’t just stop trying, that’s absurd. They definitely controlled the game, but if they could have beat us by 30 they would have beat us by 30.

I think ex players need to stfu about “back in my day” stories. Ainge never played a #1 Georgia team. He pi&&Ed the bed at LSU, Fla & Bama. I don’t recall Clausen telling media “Swamp wasn’t that tough for me” before EA played there. Punk.
No but Clausen did famously say that he could beat UGA with one arm tied behind his back. TN lost that game.

It doesn't matter, we have state of the art practice facilities, they can't simulate to the decibel what they could hear? No reason for that many snap infractions, doesn't matter where you're playing.

Decibels increase exponentially, so for them to say it was that much louder would mean it would have to be almost twice as loud, not possible.

Exactly

3 DB’s “sounds” twice as loud to the human ear. 6 DB’s would sound about 4 times as loud……in NO way would that be possible.

It sure affected our players per post game interviews however high it was, and I agree with that statement from Ainge being stupid. Different day and time from when he played them there. Undefeated, defending NC home crowd is always going to bring the noise no matter what. Especially when they felt disrespected being #3 playing against #1…….

I wonder if Neyland would still sound louder with the enclosed bowl…..

Sanford was loud and impressive yesterday.
Their DB readings are FALSE though for crowd noise. Ironically though.. they have an airport and jets/planes were taking off and flying over most of the game.

Stadium was impressive but not not Neyland loud.
Again, no disrespect to Sanford. Great stadium. Rockin environment.
The only time their stadium was close in volume was when the stadium sound system was on 11. When it stopped it came way down

Bs number but too loud to communicate is too loud to communicate. Both stadiums have fudged numbers.

No Clausen just said that he could've beaten Georgia with one arm tied behind his back when he was out his junior year, and then completely crapped the bed his senior year against them, completing only 11 passes for 165 yds with 2 INTs.

Please tell me you guys do not believe 85,000+ were aware of Ainge's trash talk?
:D

He ate crow, but the whole episode was a meaningless drop in the bucket.

But he was playing. He didn’t talk smack from his lazy boy. This isn’t Ainge’s first trip here either. He talked $hit on AJ McCarron back when McCarron played at Bama.

These stadium db levels have to be exaggerated. Stuff over 130 is jets taking off and pain threshold territory.

In the first Q of the Bama game my ears were popping. At one point I felt like I could hear out of my right ear.

Georgia won because they are loaded with 5 star dudes. They been bringing them in for a few years. Tennessee has alot of catching up to do in that area. This coaching staff is doing a great job with who they have. If you told me the Vols has a chance of going 11-1 during the regular season. Everybody would of took that.
