Neyland Stadium name change?

Would you ever consider changing the name of Neyland Stadium? It was Shields–Watkins Field (1921–1962). Things were a lot different then. I know he was a good coach and such but you know maybe it’s time to reconsider it. Myself I’d like to see it named John Ward Stadium. Just a thought.
We should be inclusive of others and non offensive. “ The Stadium” is appropriate.

some perspective for OP! If John Ward had reached the level of the General, he would have been doing the Super Bowl every year instead of being one of fourteen announcers doing conference football and basketball!

Neyland Stadium is a cathedral and doesn't need a name change. Every CFB fan in the country knows the name Neyland Stadium. Do you want to be like UK and play at an insert name of "Corporate Sponsor" stadium? Pilot Arena, Direct TV Stadium, Radio Systems Park? The Red Sox play at Fenway, The Cubs play at Wrigley and the Vols play at NEYLAND STADIUM! No need to change the name of an iconic venue.

Something certainly needs to be named after Ward. Something other than the stadium. He is far more deserving than having anything named after Fulmer

Ha ha, wasn't Wrigley Field the original Corporate named stadium?

Oh, and by the way, OP--great job, you've just given ammunition to the trolls and fans of other programs.

Months from now, some dillwad with 'gator' in his name is going to be claiming that "many Tennessee fans would be happy to see Neyland Stadium's name changed to something else."

What year did the general make it to the Super Bowl?
