Neyland Stadium Rocking - Gameday Atmosphere

Reminds me a bit of when I was working at the word's fair in 1982. I was serving beer under the corner of the stadium. We were playing Alabama, who we hadn't beaten in something like 11 years. We played a great game, by all accounts that I heard. We won the game and I thought the damn stadium was gonna come down on my head. That was loud.

finally getting my full voice back. the atmosphere where I was sitting (in the uppers) was off the charts... young and tall jumping up and down, high 5's all around,... need to turn up like that vs. USC as well... dadgumit.

I will in the eighth row in Section E once again. Giving my all by screaming, yelling, booing refs, and damn near passing out from lack of oxygen. Oh man, is it great to be a Tennessee Vol!

This was my one game I'll make it to this season. Man, zero regrets. I loved every second of it.

Yep, me too. I can only make it to one a year now, but that was special. I was under the overhang in Section B and couldn't quite get the full effects because no one was behind me. But, I didn't have to. It was unbelievable.

I have been to alot of the big ones (UF '98, Arkansas '98, UGA '01, UF '06, UGA '07), and it was up there. ESPN even tweeted that "Knoxville is the loudest place on earth right now."

Would love to see a video of Neals touchdown to take the lead.

I'm uploading one from my section right now. Will post momentarily.

Before I left for Tennessee, folks kept asking me why I travel 8 hours to see the vols play a ranked team, and think I should go see a sure win. Well, last Saturday was the best game I may ever see, from a fan's perspective. That atmosphere was unbelievable. After the game, me and the vol fans I was with were exhausted, but not upset. We sat around afterward, spent, and were thinking about what we just experienced. Thank you all of you great vol fans for making it a trip me and my family will never forget! Go vols!

It might be a noon game next Saturday but we can't use that as an excuse not to be just as loud. If we can make some strides over the next week and half I think we have a good shot at the upset and a raucous atmosphere will certainly help

Saw end of Mark Richt show and he said it was as loud as any environment he'd ever been in but then said it may not have been quite as loud as the uga win over lsu but it was close. I don't think there is any way Sanford was actually louder than Neyland was Saturday. Bob Davie when he was coach at Notre Dame talked about how Neyland was tougher than LSU to play in, for a 2004 ESPN article before the UT AU game. I don't understand why Neyland doesn't get the credit it deserves. If it's louder than LSU then it should be stated on all the loudest stadium articles.

I've been to Athens a few times and I haven't been impressed at all. Even last year and the game coming down to the end, it never seemed that loud.
